Forums - Gaming - Do console gamers wat PC gaming to die?

I really do like console gaming over pc gaming.

But if given the option i will always get a FPS for my PC then my console, the aiming scheme and the controls are so much more suited for mouse &Keyboard then a controller.

plus i can be a graphics whore at the same time and play my games at resolutions mush higher then 1080p with wicked FPS.

plus i use a ps3 type controller thing on me pc sometimes that has a few extra buttons then the sony controller, but they am kinda identical.

Lol no every1 has pc and almoast every1 plays with it.
Atleast i have finished Bioshock,Gears and mass effect with this laptop.
And I started playing with pc when Age of empires 2 came, and with consoles when Mgs 1 came.

Take my love, take my land..

I Never played a PC game before D=

If people would care to look at the true revenue generated by PC gaming, and combine that with the massive revenue from MMOs, they'd realise that PC gaming is not dying.

Also game quality overall if you go by scores is probably higher than any console. Just look at the scores for top PC games over consoles.

Finally, while I have a PS3 and Wii I also play on PC - so no, I don't want it to die and if anyone does that would be pretty childish IMHO opinion unless they could provide a valid arguement for their case.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

console gaming will die before pc gaming

No pc gaming should coexist alongside console gaming.

MMOs, subscription services, and direct to drive download services are the definite future for PC gaming in terms of growth and profitability. There is plenty of head room in these categories to ensure that PC gaming will continue to last and grow in the future.

Retail outlet PC gaming on the other hand, is gradually becoming less significant, and is already being eclipsed by retail sales for console games.

If the question is whether PC games will ever stop being developed, the answer would be no. Never.

Unless there is some future form of interactive computer entertainment that replaces it in the very distant future, or computers as we know them cease to exist, programmers will always write code for the purpose of entertainment, even if there ever comes a time in which it is no longer commercially viable for businesses to profit on developing and selling games.

I am deffinitly a console gamer. I haven't played anything on PC since half life 2, while I own all three consoles currently on the market.

I don't want PC gaming to die. It should be up to the consumer what kindof games they enjoy playing. I simply don't want console gaming to die as a result of PC gaming's success. This is probably one of the underlying reasons for my anti ms sentiment.

I've always been playing on both consoles and computers. They've always complemented each other nicely. I really wouldn't like it to change.

I feel indeed that some would want PC gaming to die. It seems to me that some consoles are more and more trying to emulate the PC experience with the focus high resolutions, online, FPS, RTS,... So it would be normal for people playing those games on consoles to feel those styles of games now belong to the consoles and no longer to the PC.

Because PC gamers think their so much better than us! I bet they drink from champagne (pronounced Sham-pag-Knee for those of you less cultured members) glasses instead of empty pickle jars like normal people.
