500k first week.
guys, the first week won't be big, LBP will very likely sell over good legs and not over OMG WTF BBQ first day numbers
Is that the official box art? That looks pretty kickass.
LBP first week: 400-600k.
PSN: chenguo4
Current playing: No More Heroes
@Undying,
I agree that LBP will not be the massively "hardcore/casual" success Sony is hoping mainly because the PS3 is just too expensive to expand to casual.
But I still believe many people are interested by this game and I doubt it will bomb as some people believe
People will wait a little before buying the game : REVIEW will make or kill the game.
DEFINITIVELY.
Time to Work !
By the way, this is said to be released on the 5th of November. 1 week after the game's release....
These bundle sales will not be part of the first week sales...
PSN ID: T_Gears
End of 2009 ltd sales:
Wii = 67-68m
X360 = 38-39m
PS3 = 34-35m
Prediction: The PS3 will surpass the 360 on weekly sales after it drops to $299 on all regular weeks (no big releases).
I think the game will do well regardless of how different and weird it is. Many people forget the fact that this game will allow users to create their own games. people will buy it out of curiosity. I have several friends that are Little Timmy and are "where are my JRPG's" and they are excited about this game. Simple reason why- because it is different. It will allow gamers to become a gamer. It will allow gamers to create what they want and the use of the eye toy and being able to create your own bits n bobs within the game is getting users excited even more. The possibilities this game has are phenomenal. IMO the only people who don't see the possibilities are those who do not like Sony or those who lack imagination. Anyone with an imagination will want to give creating something which is their own a chance. And yes, 2D maybe old but this is not true 2D and gamers prefer something to be as they are then step into 3D for the sake of things and screw it all up e.g WORMS, Street Fighter, Sonic and any other game who failed to make the 3D leap successfully.
