Before I did the test I knew I was going to fall on the Fiscally-Conservative/Libertarian quadrant because I have taken similar tests in the past ... If you were going to create a single phrase that described my political view it would be something along the lines of "The Government is the problem not the solution"

Now, I could be wrong but I suspect that you're going to find that most people who run for office tend to be more authoritian because you would have to believe in the governments ability to be a positive influence on a person's life to run for government. If you look at more socialist/authoritian leaders they tend to have a nasty habit of destroying any ecconomy they run, so it is likely that governments like that tend not to be very successful.

examples?

Robert Mugabe

That's what I said ...

People who are libertarian (right or left) are probably not going to run for office, and left (socialist) authoritian people tend to destroy the ecconomy they run.

ok then i will run for office here in the UK as Libertarian Left just to prove we do run for office

Like HappySqurriel said, the majority of politicians are authoritarian because they like to be in control.

Most successful politicians these days will turn out right wing on that test because any politician that turns out left wing on that test, will be accused of being a communist. The general public wouldn't vote for someone who was accused of being a communist, because the first thing the general public think of when you say communism is Stalin, and for some reason Hitler!

Because people are idiotic sheep that need to be told what to do, how to live, and what to buy. That's what makes America so great. Capitalism.
