Big jon is probably the most ignorant poster here.  I disagree with a lot of you and agree with many others, but the stupidity that flows from these posts is horrendous.

yea, thats it. call me ignorant.

Watch the news, they you may get the JOKE with a bit sarcasm about the irony of the whole situation.

The only argument the dems have is WHEN MCCAIN KEELS OVER she will be leading us.

Carry on ManusJustus, worship your messiah... Obama will lead us all to the promise land of oats and honey, or whatever he has promised you all.

What's wrong with a hot conservative female president? Oh I know, she doesn't believe in socialism.

Need some ice for that burn?

That barely makes any sense.  First of all, I dont care what my leader looks like, I want them to be a good leader who makes good decision.  They could have a humpback for all I care.  George Bush and his Republican policies have all but destroyed America's economy, so if that isn't enough reason to want another party I dont know what is.

You didnt burn me, or anybody else for that matter.  Word of advice, if you ever gain the intellectual ability to burn someone else, you dont have to announce it because it will be apparent in the words you wrote or spoke.

Did you actually read any of the facts I posted about the economy? The economy is hardly destroyed, it has done well for most of the Bush years, it grew at a respectable rate in the last quarter and STILL has not entered a recession, in spite of huge mistakes made by THE BANKS, (aka, the credit crunch), and runups in oil, commodities due to commodities traders, not Bush. Both oil and commodities are undergoing a correction (as they always do), and the economy & housing market will turn around (as they always do).

THE....PRESIDENT...DOES...NOT...CONTROL...THE...ECONOMY...LIKE...YOU...THINK.

THE...ECONOMY...IS...NOT...AS...BAD...AS...YOU...KEEP...SAYING.

The biggest thing the president can do to help or hurt the economy is tax policy, but he can only do that by getting congress to write and pass the tax policy. So congress has more control over the economy than the president.

Do you really think lower taxes are bad for the economy? Really? So, the less money the consumer gets to keep, the more money they have, right? Makes perfect sense. :/

Hell, Timmah's even cherry picking his figures from conservatives blogs. Stop puking up what people tell you to.

Looking at the Misery index, Clintons average unemployment rate is inflated because it was terrible when he got in office 7.30, it went steadily and always down eventually ending at 3.90, with bush it's steadily gone up with a high of 6.30, except for a small dip shortly there after and then back up to 5.70. It's never been as low as it was when clinton was in office. If it wasn't for Bush's dad making unemployment soar to over 7% Clinton's average would be waay below Bush jr.

You act like you did research, but you're still just puking on everyone. did you even look at the link you posted of the misery index?

My bad, I didn't realize that Clinton was turning the unemployment knob down, while the bush's keep turning it up. Damn, my mistake. Why in the hell does everybody seem to think the President has some magical control over the unemployment numbers??? Unemployment numbers under Bush 2 went up after the downturn directly related to 9/11. The tax cuts had some effect of turning this around faster, but these things are mainly cyclical. The economy began to recover, and the numbers have been going down steadily into the 4's until just recently. What economics class teaches us that the president somehow sets the unemployment numbers?? This is supposed to be a free market, so the president should really have minimal impact on the economy.

Go, vagabond, go!

I shake my head at people on this forum... Some people think you're an idiot for questioning Obama... Well, duh. I'm going to question someone who rarely crosses the aisle and claims that he'll unify the nation. If you're going to vote Obama, just be honest and admit it's because he's Liberal. That's fine, just stop feeding us the hope and change bullshit.

As for McCain, he feels like a real fighter whose time has long past. Let's stop pretending it's 1990 and that John hasn't spent the past eight years sucking up to Rove & Co.

In short, anyone who claims to positively know what's best for America is some co vination of delusional, arrogant, and naive. It's a complicated matter and the second we stop examining what the opposition is saying, everyone loses. Pay attention, read everything you can, and in November, pick the poison that makes you sick the least.

about time I got some sane back up. What he said. Did you see the part where I used timmah's numbers to kick his ass? Not to toot my own horn, but that was pretty awesome.

Whoa, shit.

Sorry guys.

I was just hopping in this thread to Control+F my name to see if bigjon responded to my comment earlier.

I didn't even notice this thread got to the 2nd page.  Anyway, good work gentlemen.

And I'm not just saying this because I'm the most liberal person on the site (as proven in multiple threads).  I'm sick of him whining about brainwash and kool-aid and propaganda in every post in every thread.

@rocketpig, I'm voting Obama because he's liberal, and given the chance I'd vote for Kucinich again and again, like I did in 2004.  Happy?

@everybody else, I think Palin was a horrible choice.  McCain is saying he is the most qualified Republican to be president, and that Palin is the 2nd.  I can name a buttload of Republicans more qualified than her, and I despise Republicans!  Scholars are already saying that Biden was the most qualified V.P. choice in recent history, and that Palin is the least qualified V.P. candidate since the Dems picked some nobody with only small city experience in 1908, and then Taft won with a gigantor landslide.

vote for the most socially liberal candidate! (great if hes fairly economically left wing as well)

yea I am drinking teh koolade... right.

I do believe the media slants stories to get ratings and make things fit their worldview. Everyone knows they do that (to some extent) like Vagabond said, it comes from both sides.

To me the more dangerous things is Obama's rhetoric, the man could lie straight through his teeth and his hordes would follow him. The man is a genious, and an amazing speaker. But the truth is... his is too liberal, and things about the man just don't add up.

I always love how liberials think they are so hip/ cool/ above everyone else. Just like Rubang so proudly announce HE is the most liberal poster on this board. Well he can take post- modern moral approach and shove it up his arse. Possibly someday when he gets older and more mature he will realize the studipity of his current beliefs. Most of the flower power girls of the 60s and 70s did (yes you can still see some begging for cash in the subways and such).

If you think about the core of most liberal beliefs, they are insanity. Notice I did not say all. I would consider myself a moderate (slightly to the right) because there are certain things I do beleive they have a valid point.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

The core of my beliefs is insanity?

Attacking my character instead of my ideas, another classic bigjon kool-aid comeback.

Maybe when you stop drinking the elitist kool-aid at Harvard, you'll grow up and learn how to have an argument.

Here, try this on for size. One of your favorite books is LEFT BEHIND, about the Antichrist taking over the United Nations. The core of your beliefs is BATSHIT FUCKING NUTS. But that's okay, because Jerry Falwell says "In terms of its impact on Christianity, it's probably greater than that of any other book in modern times, outside the Bible."

I am still trying to figure out whose koolade I am drinking... I like the McCain/Palin ticket, but I do not worship them. Many Obama supporters love him so much, but know so little about the man it scares me.

Yea, smooth move attacting my religous beliefs... Wait doesn't that go again the left wing idea that I can believe in (religoiusly) whatever I want and it is ok, no one can say anything to me? Hypocrite. I am a Protestant, I do believe in the Bible and for you to call me down on that goes against all post modern thinking. I like Left Behind because it is a well written novel based off the book of Revelations.
