Forums - Nintendo - Capcom talks Bionic Commando, SFIV Wii

Yeah I'm not to sure about how the controlls would work. The thing with the Wii though is thankfully it does have the classic controller and Gamecube Controller option, which I think some devs rely on.

As far as fighting games go, I've played a little bit of Guilty Gear AC XX on Wii now and whereas the controls are timely and well done, it just sucks in my opinion. Next time I play I'll use the Gamecube Controller, which is what I would expect to do with SFIV.

Again, that opens up a whole other can of worms, which is people instantly expecting it to be one-to-one swing controls, and I don’t know if we’d be able to get it to the pinpoint accuracy that a game with this level of design requires. So you’d have to make gigantic surfaces you can swing onto rather than really tight skill-based areas, and that would shift more toward casual.

This statement drives me up the wall. This fucking game designer thinks that the IR pointer is less accurate than a thumbstick. Does he know the wiimote has IR? Does he even know what one looks like?!

If this toolbag made a Wii version, I doubt I would want to play it.

^ I'm not sure thats what he meant.

His statement might not be considering IR, but I think the end result is, what will be of the challenge if you could just simply do that, rather than the traditional gameplay format the the series is already heavilly bassed on.

I don't want either game honestly, but I'll glady take any support for the Wii. I'd just be worried they'd turn Bionic Commando into an arm exhausting gameplay disaster.

You know, one of the ways to get more 3rd party games on the Wii is to actually buy them when they appear, instead of redundant new Zelda titles or Mario Party 4867.

Also, obnoxious email bombardment compaigns may yield some results. Harrassment is the way to go.

I would rather capcom make a new RE or something. Oh wait they are with DR:CTYD. I forgot. Anyway I want more new Ips, also I don't like fighting games, isn't Tuskuno(However you spell it) vs Capcom enough fighting games from capcom for the Wii? And I'm not interested in Bionic Commando at all, if I was I would be getting/got(released yet?) the Hd versions. I don't think HD games shoudl be ported to the WIi. I think a game built specifically for the Wii would be much better.

i'm so tired of capcom's BS just make the dame games already.
