Big focus on Ubisoft, EA, Rockstar and others... 

yea i just finished watching it.. i like what they said about mostly everything... i like what they said about the skepticism of sales that GTA will have on the 360 and ps3.. also i like what they said about Metal Gear Solid 4... they also brought up some good points of nickel and diming...

I thought it was good but it didn't really talk about the handheld's and the wii's third party games.

they brought up a good point about the ps2... the ps2 had GTA.. Final Fantasy...Metal Gear Solid..and Devil May cry to boost sales for it in its 2nd year what does the ps3 have??? i doubt Lair.. Heavenly sword... Uncharted Drakes fortune and whatever else can boost sales like those games did

I agree because ... the PS2 was riding on proven franchises for their 2nd christmas. Although Lair, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, and other games like Haze and Assassin's Creed should do well, they are all unproven. The only huge name they have is GTA4, and it's multiplatform. If they can get MGS4 out before the end of the year, it will be a much needed godsend.

I just watched the entire set of videos. OGM is Micheal Patcher ever clueless!! He totally doesn't understand the current industry. Some of his best quotes:
"I still don't understand why DS sales doubled after the DS Lite come out. " - This guy is an analyst?! If he can't figure out why consumers bought something 12 months ago, how can he predict 6 months from now?
"Microsoft is the only company with exclusives" - Ah... Wii anyone??
"American and Europian publishers might stop making PS3 exclusives, but Japanese publishers won't. Take Katamari Damacy as an example, they'll never make that just for the 360..." - I had to stop and laugh at that, as the PS3 version has been unofficially canned now.
or my favorite, he theorizes that after a couple years the new customers the Wii has created will want to play Madden "The way it was meant to be played" and get a 360 (or PS3) instead. - I'm sorry, but that's complete idiocy. No-one who has learned to play games like Wii Sports of EA Family Play sports with a Wii-mote will ever switch to the unintuitive monstrousity that's the 360/PS3 controllers. It'd seem like a giant step backwards, like going from digital time to reading an analog watch.
He had many other clueless comments too. Why is he still employed??? N'Gai and the others, but especially N'Gai seemed to really be getting the new dynamics that are shaping this generation.
Sorry if this is a little off-topic, but thanks for posted a very interesting look at what the industry needs to do at E3.

Devil May Cry and GTA were both unproven. So who is to claim that Uncharted or Heavenly Sword won't go on to such success?

Ok, I'll give you Devil May Cry, cause that was the first in the series. GTA wasn't unproven though, it already had two incarnations from the previous gen (PS1).

I have high hopes for Heavenly Sword and Uncharted, definitely.

Sports games are going to sell better on the PS3 and 360.

I'd extend your complaints, though, to say that most of them did not understand the full picture. 

Yeah Pachter cracks me up too. He's a clown who for some reason gets paid to never get a single thing right. One of my favorites is:

He is the running joke of the video game analysis industry. Remember all his things about how no one wants online play? Or remember when he predicted the PSP was going to outsell the DS so badly that the DS would be the end of Nintendo in the handheld market? Ah gotta love Pachter. You almost wonder how Webush Morgan misses his huge, glaring, and very publicly horrible predictions. You would think they would be in a rush to get rid of him so that he would stop hurting their image.
