Forums - Sales - Worldwide sales Discussion for the week ending 8/26

So, this has been a pretty normal week.

Wii is greater than PS3 and 360 combined *shock!*

But the real story of the Wii-k, why is 360 so low?

Thoughts?

My thought is that we're already discussing this in another thread ;)

the numbers are kind of weird if you ask me...i know for a fact that 360 did better(in the usa)
and wii 30k in japan is even stranger
slight spike for ps3 in usa because of the 80gb sku ?

this week figures got me puzzled

i know for a fact that 360 did better(in the usa)

How? :-/

Japan just hates all the consoles apparently other than the handheld ones.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

People are waiting for 360 price drop just like they did last month....

i dont see any reason to buy a 360 right now (thinking as a typical consumer). all the gears of war and halo fans have already bought an xbox. and people are realizing that ps3 is a much better option than 360. the price cut for 360 will help a little, but than after a few weeks, its back to normal. ps3 will continue to outsell it in america.

Too Human caused people to return their systems in disgust... and the massive returns were counted against the 360?

No seriously... is it really that low?

133,509 VS 103,678.

It lost about 30,000 in sales this week.

While PS3 picked up in sales about 28,000.

Hm.  Wonder if that breaks down the same regionally.  It could be people who wanted a PS3 last week when it was supply constrained got a 360... and now that it's in stock more they are getting PS3s.

If not.  Might just be Europe bought more consoles this week and the US less for some reason.

forget the sales, what i really want to know is how a big ass fly can find it's way into your house with ease, but finds it extremely hard to find it's way out when it's about to die.

I agree with

I went to the gamestore today and two people bought a X360 when I was there and no one a Wii or PS3.  VGCHARTZ is biased confirmed!
