I agree with you totally.

I however have noticed something from this website. A huge amount of people were all happy for the ps3 and what not then the 360 outsold it and INSTANTLY every1 was liek pft its over they are dead. Now the ps3 has retaken it's old spot and every1 is like BOOYEA 15 mil!

"Also on the horizon is Play tv, which allows consumers to watch many tv programes they can record, rewind or store any programe on their Ps3 hard drive. This product is quite familiar to (sky+) and I must admive im very excite of the idea of being able to record tv programmes/movies and its free of charge. This will also create much consumer interest making the ps3 the all around entertainment system. Whether it being blcokbuster games, Play tv or Blu ray movies. If marketed well Play tv can become a system seller (!!!!!!!???????), already atracting much interest here in the Uk for people who wish to switch to digital. Play Tv will become essential."

This paragraph is so wide of the mark its frightening.

Freeview digital receivers with built in hard drives have been around for ages and can be had for around £100 with 100 gig+ hard drives in the UK.

Anyone really serious about their TV entertainment has already gone for, or will go for, SKY+ or virgin. PlayTV will go the way of Apple TV in this country.... nowhere! get real for god sake.

Some people cant afford sky+ or virgin. what I meant by system seller is those who wish to purchase a freeview service may be interested in purchasing play tv with the ability to store the info on the hdd, and is also a great buy for current ps3 owners, all in all its adds value to the ps3 !!

Your response is so wide of the mark is frigthens me now get real for god sake!

and dissapear from my forum!

Now lets remember what you said.... PlayTV could be a system seller.  Then you say some people cant afford SKY+ or virgin... so these people that cant afford those will buy a PS3 + a PLayTV add-on for a combined £360 or maybe a freeview recorder with a 250 gig hard drive for £120.    Of course they will!?   Behave yourself.  Oh...and it isnt your forum big boy.

im perfectly behaved, but people like you dont contribute anything to my threads. What was the point in your response!

Seeing as I started the thread I would kindly ask  you not to post in my threads, seeing as you dont contribute anything simply waste my time!

Megaman, this is a forum... designed for debate and conversation. It is not a place for you to spout your opinion without any come back. If you dont like that then dont post.

The point of my response was to disagree with two of your points. Am I not allowed to do that?

I dont believe that Play TV will do anything of note in the UK - you think it will

I dont believe that the PS3 will get anywhere near your sales expectation of up to 25 million by the year end - you think it will

I didnt just trash your post, i did give my reasoning.. so live with it like a grown up would.

I always respect people to give their opinion whether they agree or disagree with me. I respect your opinion, but I took offense when you said that "this paragraph is so wide of the mark is frightening" If you wish to post your opinion please do so but in a more respectable manner.

Yes ps3 is going to enjoy great times when it comes to sales.

Next on PS3s to do list is to keep up with 360 in the AAA games list category.

 The "LACK OF" is the reason I returned my PS3.

That's why I prefer 360.

@libellule,

x360 arcade here in Europe cost - 200 euro.
x360 60GB model cost - 280 euro.
x360 elite 120GB model cost - 360 euro.

PS3 80GB cost 400 euro.

==> YES, in Europe. The Xbox360 is the big shit with their current offer. OK

But what about the NA price cut ?

p.s. there was almost NO boost in NA after x360 20GB model going 300$ price.

==> there was a BIG (short) boost.

Also note the Xbox360 price is currently back to normal explaining the average sales ... people are waiting.

Time to Work !

I already jump in like you are always saying and I don't feel nothing special.

When you talk about a 10 year cycle, are you referring to the time SONY needs to make an online like LIVE?

When you talk about all the features (that doesn't exist) did you forget to mention that people can't private talk in PSN?

So again, please tell me what should I be excited about because I can't really see. I'm more excited about 8 people private talk over LIVE and playing RE4 in the Wii.

Yes I am, I own all the systems, and yes I have MGS4 and Uncharted for PS3, I finish both then I shut down my PS3 (waiting for KILLZONE2) and got back to LIVE.

LIVE is the best thing right now in video games, not 360, not Wii, not PS3, not hardware, being, playing and TALKING with friends it's great.

So yes, I'm serious.

160go = price up = non event

Home = non event

PSN games = non event

PlayTV = non event

Xbox360 price cut = BIG BIG BIG EVENT

I would wait a little before creating a thread like this one.

The 360 has already had significant price cuts in Asia, Europe, and NA.  PS3 outsold it by 55k this week.  Another round of price cuts may not have the impact you expect.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.
