If your girlfriend also wanted to, next year you could also Coop Tales of vesperia with her and did you know that Banjo Kazooie is coming with the N64 version for free? (I see that you had that game in your collection) Also Lode runner is an awesome game for Xbox Live as well (I played it when I was 3!)
I would expect that given the success of the summer of Arcade program there are going to be more titles for you and your girlfriend to play (Congrats on getting one you can share games with).
Whilst I would love to have you buy an Xbox 360 so that you can share the same games I experience, I guess its a matter of asking yourself if the quantity and quality of the gaming experience on the Xbox 360 justifies the price of $298 Euros. Before I got my Xbox 360 (I was a Wii, PS3, PC owner like you) I had to think carefully, not about the retail price of the games but the actual pleasure I would expect to recieve from owning an Xbox 360. My approach was to value the different experiences tentatively to see if the price was justified by the experience. Because my girlfriend at the time
liked the controllers more, I found the experience of playing games to be much more rewarding which was a huge bonus to me. (I got her playing Halo 3!)
For me the price was obviously justified as I bought one, I just found that the experience grew on me because there was always some new content coming out for me to try.
I hope this helps!
