-Subscription fee's

PSN doesn't have that feature yet. : )

Qore is free now

Qore? We are comparing PSN to Live not PS3 to 360. Qore is not the core experience. Although I see where you are coming from.

Jokes aside dunno if this is technically Live but mandatory "achievements" is great.

Isn't Qore a part of PSN? Can it be purchased offline and accessed offline? Qore is not the core experience. However Wessle just said PSN doesn't have the feature of subscription fees yet and I countered that argument with Qore, since it offers a better service with demos sooner, articles, previews and exclusive betas.

Long chain! Well I guess things do get hazy. When I think of PSN and Live I think of the ability to play online. I could make the arugment about maybe game sharing, any bluetooth headset works, PSN Videos tranferable to PSP, and PSN has no limit with their downloadable game size. Hell maybe I could squeeze in the arguments about PS3 games on PSN hence Burnout or maybe even the arugment the PSN uses real money not M$ points.

While these arugments aren't the best I just trying to show it is prespective. PSN to me is just the ability to play online. If you open it up wide enough my points I made above are valid.

Bah now I'm just rabbling.

Back to the OG question another thing that PSN doesn't have the ability to check progress on someone's game. Peeking is always fun.

This is not technically an online feature, but the 360 allows you to access your dashboard in game and do things such as manage downloads. The PS3 requires you to quit the game to accomplish the same thing. I have not played my 360 in a few months (have not had it repaired as of yet), so I may be fuzzy on the details.

Sorry for the double post. What you just mentioned is doable on the PS3. You can text and manage downloads in-game.

Hmm, I'm not sure what PSN has, but on XBL I can:

- Use Video chat during games
- Compare my games list and achievements to all my friends
- Send voice and video messages from anywhere at anytime
- Chat between games, without taking a break during game changes(no matter what game they're playing). Invite and create own chat room.
- See what game and what level my friend is playing on(ie Guitar Hero 3- Dragonforce expert) if the game is online or not.
- Have infinite bandwidth for downloads(limited by my isp)
- Get free backgrounds and stuff for my 360 and dashboard(right now I have Tropic Thunder Background and Robert Downey Jr. is my avatar)
- Download old Xbox games and XBLA games, and earn achievements for them
- See my friends latest achievements, even if he's offline
- Listen to music on my jumpdrive while I wait for games(not really an online feature)
- Play games online

Everything is free with a silver account except playing games online(you can still play a few) and videochat. I have a silver account. I think that's it.

I dunno how much of this PSN has, but those are just the things I know about offhand. Hope this helps.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

do you have newsletter and developer interviews like these? :

Cause this is definitely one of the things I enjoy on XBL.. but then UK content differs from USA, Japan and rest of europe etc etc..
