The Wii is because it isn't HD ... NTSC and PAL are two different display formats, and many elements of a game have to be tested and optimized for each

It already is. When shall I see Final Fantasy rlesed in Europe and the US on the same date? never, I think. And differences between NTSC FF and PAL FF? nonexistent. Releases? PAL 6 months after NTSC.

Also isn't the value of the U.S dollar pretty low compared to the currency of the Pal regions?

Yes, true. Any other differences? not really. Same game, same language, same bugs, lol. Releasing them with huge time diffs is pure lazyness or I don't know what.

thats what i was about to say, many people would just buy the NA games because they are cheaper
