 60gb 360's are out in the uk and have been out since the 15th.

I doubt it, but this week is probably the closest it will come for awhile without a price drop or huge release

TBH, it still won't even come close. The Wii wouldn't even have to sell any hardware in NA or Japan to beat what the PS3 will output this week me thinks.

Good lord! I haven't been watching UK sales for a while... In fact, I will just go have a look, not sure how close PS2 is to 10 million, DS might get there first?

Edit: Nope. PS2 is only 108k away, it should manage it this year... DS has too far to go.

The PS3 sales are encouraging. Obviously it doesn't have to match Wii sales to be successful, I'm just happy it's doing so well. Have other old popular systems gotten so close to overtaking current gen system sales as the PS2 in Europe. It's almost tied with teh 360.

Oh goodness no it wont be the Wii worldwide, lol. The Wii probably beat the PS3 WW in Europe alone. I was just wondering if the Ps3 could be the Wii in NA alone.

Okay. That makes a bit more sense lol. If we don't see an influx of new Wii sales in NA and it stays stagnant, then perhaps it could be close. It will be interesting to see none the less.
