I am very concerned about that. With the exception of emulation here and there, I never pirate my games

My appologies, I meant to say WessleWoggle doesn't seem concerned about it
i dunno, i buy pretty well all of my games now.. but that's because i can afford to.
When i was in school, well, i couldn't, so i downloaded them all (off bbs's etc.)
if i didn't pirate the games, i would not have become a gamer and be spending thousands of dollars a year on video games and video game equipment now.
I think the damage copying games does is far less than the industry leads us to believe. It's not like any pirate could afford all the games they buy, but chances are if they are pirating games, they will come across games the love and will then buy them.

Yes it is bad to do but $60 a game is a hit on my college wallet. I have yet to play any dl'ed games but emulators are something I have played especially for games that are out of circulation, rare consoles, etc. BTW, I do buy games and have enjoyed supporting the industry, not so much GameStop, though.
I have a 360 and I´m a pirate.
3rd world country --> Abusive prices --> Can´t afford games --> Obsessed with games --> Buy pirate games
I don´t feel that I´m hurting the industry financially because I really wouldn´t be a gamer without piracy. So no piracy, no games. Either way, they´re not making money from me.
Like I said here many times before I do plan to buy a PS3 in the near future and not be a pirate gamer anymore.

I pirate music like theres no tomorrow. So what? Im not paying £15 quid for 12 songs when i can have them all for free.
I dont pirate films, as i dont see the need. And games, at least the expense is offset by the quality of the game in most cases

None of the above.
But I do download music, but its still legal in Canada

Also if you buy a game you can trade it in or sell it and at least you get a return.
Pay to download a track and the moment you get it, it's worthless!
And you're right, £15 for 12 tracks is greed, If they were to sell new cds for £5 each I'd probably buy some just to have the physical item as it would be more of an impulse buy than £15!
More people should steal music then the industry might consider lowering the price of cds to a more realistic level.
Firstly, I don't like the term "pirate". I mean, they aren't out sailing the high seas jacking Spanish gold fleets, they're sitting at a desk with a shirt and tie burning CDs. Not very piratey if you ask me, calling them Pirates surely makes them want to do it more. :D
Personally, I never buy pirate DVDs, because the quality is awful. You couldn't give them away as far as I'm concerned. Music is different because the quality isn't lost. I have to admit to downloading songs now and again, but if I download several from one band/artist, then I will buy an album or something. I may be strongly anti government/tax/rules/authority/any other black leather coat cliche going :), but I do believe creative types should be rewarded for their work. For the same reason, I do not ever buy pirate games and I only buy second hand if there is literally no other way to get the game. Which never happens.
Will you teach me to football?
