Forums - Gaming - Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Glitches

Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is nowhere near completion with all the glitches I've seen. Even after two updates from Capcom the game still plays horrible online.

Here are a few glitches I've run in to:

Non-responsive controls - I know how to do the moves, however, there seems to be a delay of about a second before they respond on screen. Trying to block is the worst part when the controls don't respond.

Massive slow down - Playing a game things can be fine and then slow to a crawl then speed up again.

Constant disconnects when playing - I was in the middle of a match earlier this week and the game just said connection lost. When I went back to search for a new game every room that was created was gone. Meaning everyone was disconnected.

The game looks great but these glitches are horrible to play with. I know we are dealing with networks here but I have played other games online and not had slow down or unresponsive controls like SF II Turbo HD Remix.

Any of you guys have similar or other issues you'd like to add?

I am having none of those issues. If anything the moves are too easy to pull off. Some clown keeps spamming me with kens uppercuts...

Otherwise the game doesn't disconnect much either. It kept doing that before the first patch but now I get good 10-15 matches before it disconnects. I think its ready for prime time...bring on Guile!

I never said the moves don't respond I just seem to have a delay. As for the cheesing I ran in to that as well. The Dragon Punch (uppercut) is the most powerful move in the game. You could be using Ken or Ryu if you know how to do it (I do) you can beat an opponent with this cheese. However, its not as bad as the corner fighters. They back you in and try to never let you out.

Haha...I love zoning the opponent. SF3 series was brutal with that. A good Urien or Remi would keep you in that corner till its over.

Moves delays and dropped matches tho... Could it be that your net connection is slow? Believe it or not, the netcode for a game like SF2HD requires a lot more bandwith than something like Halo. I have no idea why, possibly due to the fact that the backgrounds need to be synced as well since its 2D and not a 3D space. I had halo 3 matches that go great followed by SF2HD matches which would lag like crazy...this was followed by a trip to my neighbours place to tell him to stop his freekin uploads. (we share internet)

There are many ways out of a corner. Sweeping is the number one way out. However, if you are using Ken or Ryu, and not fighting either of them you can use the Hurricane Kick (in air) to move you to the other side of the screen and out of the corner.

Only the beta on xbox 360. You can play with ryu and ken on one level. Online and single player... you get it when you purchase commando.

I think the beta ands in a month tho. It was fun while it lasted.

Oh. Yeah, I heard about the beta. Forgot all about it.

I just raided the PS Store and XBOX Live trying to find it. Boy, was I dissapointed.

You forget to say Super at the start of the title. Anyway, this game still has a chance to be the 2nd best fighting game released in years (behind SSBB) and is one of the main reasons I'm considering getting a 2nd console sometime down the road. If what is said to be the best version of Street Fighter II doesn't live up to the hype, it will be a sad day.
