ive just read gamespots review for ratchet and clank quest for booty which they settled with a 7.5

now quest for booty is like an addon in a way in that its a short game.

the orig ratchet tools of destruction they also gave 7.5

does anyone see something wrong with these scores?

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

R & C ToD - 60$
R & C QfB - 15$

ToD HAD to be a full game, and it was priced like one.

Eh yes, if the three hours for 15$ were as good as 12 hours for 60$ it deserves the same score. I do not see the problem.

BTW i really think that both games need their score upped, they're definitely more than a 7.5 ^^

Heh! That old review for R&C again. Controversial when released, and still so it appears, because the new, lesser title gets the same score.

Funny.

As I think on it, if I were a GameSpot reviewer, I'd not constrain myself to someone's else's review. I.e.: if R&C: QfB deserves a 7.5 in my opinion, then that is what I'd score it, regardless of what other reviewers may have given R&C:ToD (I'd have given that an 8.5). However, if I was an editor of the reviews, charged to maintain a unified voice for GameSpot, I'd be more concerned. Hell, I'd be tempted to re-review the original game, regardless of the furore it would cause. But, then again, that's why I'm not the editor of GameSpot's reviews.

Only shorter. But cheaper.

if they rated ToD that, im surprised QfB was rated as high. because although its decent, ToD is far superior.

I agree completely. While they are certainly both R&C games, and look remarkable similar, ToD is superior on many levels; it's not just the length of gameplay we're talking about here. Have the people who think both games deserve the same score played them fully?
