Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Obviously can't spend more than a few minutes at it every week or so, but it certainly brings a smile to my face... |
Listen here. Right now turn on the tv or look at the internet and get all the news and weather in the world.
If the weather and news channels impress you then you must either not know about the internet yet and/or don't have a television.
I love how you assumed I'm a dumbass cause I'm not interested in the weather and news channels on the Wii.
Have you seen these channels? If you think the news channel has enough news in it then you are a sad sad individual.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
Rocketpig: While demos would be cool, I'm just curious how videos are of use to an actual gamer... seeing as gamers play games? Online play, true, unless you count Strikers and Pokemon. So, not true. Weakest, absolutely. True? Nope.
And Weather channel was interesting, but doesn't get much love, and for news, I just use the trusty internet.

Game videos and trailers are of interest to gamers and XBL has loads of them.
As much as Nintendo and its fans claim to be all about the games, their online strategy says the exact opposite. I just wish they would get on the wagon and start offering more interesting content. Then again, maybe they're just waiting for this whole internet fad to blow over.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/
I like using my PC for news, videos, etc...it's almost always going to be faster than consoles, storage and file management is detailed and simple, and it's all very seamless.
I'll play Wii for the Wii games...new Wii videos and such are fine on my PC...it might be cool to have game videos as a supplement on the Wii...but chances are I've seen it on my PC already.

The fact is Nintendo does everything on the cheap. The slow internet support is because they don't want to spend money. Since their console is selling with like no online, they will do it on the cheap and make very little online anything on the Wii for a while.
Just look at Pokemon DS, they knew it would sell insanely well so they made it as cheaply as they could have.

Shrug, just being me, but game trailers and news have always been more accessible, faster and better to watch on a PC. If you're connecting to them on a console, I'd say a good 99.9% of that time, you could get it just as easily on a PC with more choices.
I personally don't even consider that a good use of the network, but other people can. Just explains my position on videos. Demos, would be cool, better online, of course, but yeah.
Also, cklmb, yep they are cheap. It's a shame that they wish to remain profitable as a company that has seen how low Videogames can go, but even while being under budget, they are providing one of the best gaming experiences out there. Huh.
See Ya George.

CKMLB Nintendo does everything with their business model in mind, not cheap. Sony does not love you. You may think that they do, since they are giving your their console at a loss, but in the end it's because they determined that was going to make them the most money. Nintendo has never lost money on a console. We are customers. They provide us with a service. If they can continue to make money doing that, Nintendo will continue to thrive. Sony has dug themselves into this hole. Why they keep blaming everyone else, and telling us how superior they are is beyond me. Will Sony bounce back? My feeling is yes. Is this where they saw themselves last year at this time? My feeling is no and for whatever reason, that makes me smile!
