One big difference in the PS3 list is it has a lot of games that aren't just rehashes of games I've already played.
In that category I would put Afrika which I have wanted to play from the first time I saw it. My favorite movie/TV show of all time is the Planet Earth Blu Ray series so being able to go around a high def safari of Africa sounds great to me. Some say "whats the point if you can't shoot stuff" The point is I don't have 6000 dollars for a safari but I do have 60 dollars and a PS3, next best thing from the looks of it.
Same goes for LittleBigPlanet which looks like the most interesting original game to come out in years. The only one more excited about it then me is my wife, which is weird because she almost never is a fan of any console gaming at all.
Aquanauts is a lot like Africa but underwater, I still want to play it but am not quite as excited about it as Afrika.
Also MAG will be great, though i will admit thats almost certainly so far off as to be moot (at least a full year if not more), but still, 256 person battles? That is incredible. Already you can only have battles like that on the PS3 with 60 person fights on several PS3 games (in warhawk those huge fights are complete with tons of vehicles and giant maps to boot).
Most of those games though are near future release games though. Killzone, Infamous, Gran Turismo, Motorstorm ect, all going to be out by march. THe only ones really far off are GoW3, MAG and Tekken 6.
As a nice bonus given that Eternal Sonata jumped right over to the PS3 I expect Tales to as well (if I wanted to play it after being underwhelmed by its gamecube incarnation, its just more or less a poor mans star ocean 2.) if thats your cup of tea. Fable 2 and gears 2 will almost certainly make the jump to the PC, probably with added content and superior graphics if the first ones on those series are an indication.
There's pretty much 0 chance God Of War, Killzone, Infamous, Gran Turismo, Motorstorm, MAG ect ect will be anywhere but the PS3. Thats the main strength of the PS3, even if you only want a few games they're ONLY on the PS3 (same goes for a lot of PC games, my "second console") but anything you want for 360 will be making the rounds soon enough. Its not a coincidence all the big 360 announcements lately are "me too" announcements (we're getting FFXIII too! We have Miis too! We have singstar too! We have Buzz too! We have an Eye Toy too! ect) Microsoft is like the kid brother of the PC and PS3, it has some of the same characteristics of the other two but just isn't half as cool as either one. Not only that, but they can take his best stuff but he very seldomly gets theirs.
I made this list too and it led to me selling my 360, I mean there just isn't anything big I want there any more. The only good 360 game I've been interested in the last year was mass effect and all the upcoming ones are headed to the PC or PS3 so why keep it around especially as they fire sale the price (ruining my resale value).
Call me a "fanboy" if you want, again, the 360 was judged, I had it a long time, it just came up lacking one to many times as the PS3 got better and better. Can someone really be faulted for kicking the 3rd runner up in a 4 man race? (Behind the PC, PS3 and Wii)

r u crazy ?!?!
im not a 360/microsoft fan, but da 360 has far more good games then that. not only that, but the PS3 has more games than that, and better known games as well.
I've got to say, I'm interested in only 1 or 2 PS3 games in that list. Whereas on 360 I could mention 4-5. While I disagree with your opinion, I will concede that you have a right to it. I just don't see why you would desire those games so much.

Your point is the PS3 has games that aren't rehashes and you named Afrika and Aquanauts as examples? Afrika is Pokemon Snap with real animals. Aquanauts is either a remake or a sequel to a game called Aquantaut's Holiday for the PSOne and is also similiar to a recent Wii release called Endless Ocean. You could have at least used Little Big Planet as your example.

Even if you say that Afrika is just pokemon snap (though I would contend that just because both have a camera does not mean they are the same in any way, thats like saying that Call of Duty 4 is just a duck hunt clone because both involve a gun) and aquanauts is identical to a PS1 version you are still going back over a decade to find a similar game. They are still very unique among current generation games. There's a new shooter every other week and a new action RPG every other month (if not more often lately). I did use Little Big Planet incidentally right below the other two.
Also when it comes to experience games like Afrika graphics matter a lot in terms of the immersion effect. There has never been anything close to a photorealistic game of that type. Its not like the PS3 doesn't get the weekly releases of the common game types, they just get unique gaming experiences too that add needed variety.

Then you can also agree to the fact that 360 games too are not just rehashes as well?(Especially since half of them are totally new IPs) And if they are, would you like to tell the class what games they are all rehashes of?

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

For purchases, I plan to get LBP, R2, GeOW and Fallout3 for PC. I'd rent Red Alert 3 but no one rents PC games so I'm stuck buying it. Needless to say, I keep my list pretty balanced.

My list is similar, I only have 3 on my radar for the 360, Fable 2, Banjo Kazui and Gears 2!
Playing and finishing games first>>>>>>>>>>Then talking!
Opinions are subjective and just like moods, can change.
TOP 12: Deus Ex, Shadow Man, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturn, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Metroid Prime, Zelda (series), Uncharted (series), FF Tactics, Persona (series), Demons Souls, Vagrant Story.
MOST WANTED: Deus Ex: Human Revolution, The Last Guardian, ICO/Shadow OTC HD
If you have a 360 perhaps it was a bad purchase. I always find it irritating when people say that there are no games to buy on the consoles they buy. I own a Wii and a 360 and there are a lot of games that interests me. As for PS360 owners, I understand that they buy more games for one of their console as most good games are HD exclusive and not console exclusive.
How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...
