Your point is the PS3 has games that aren't rehashes and you named Afrika and Aquanauts as examples? Afrika is Pokemon Snap with real animals. Aquanauts is either a remake or a sequel to a game called Aquantaut's Holiday for the PSOne and is also similiar to a recent Wii release called Endless Ocean. You could have at least used Little Big Planet as your example.

Even if you say that Afrika is just pokemon snap (though I would contend that just because both have a camera does not mean they are the same in any way, thats like saying that Call of Duty 4 is just a duck hunt clone because both involve a gun) and aquanauts is identical to a PS1 version you are still going back over a decade to find a similar game. They are still very unique among current generation games. There's a new shooter every other week and a new action RPG every other month (if not more often lately). I did use Little Big Planet incidentally right below the other two.
Also when it comes to experience games like Afrika graphics matter a lot in terms of the immersion effect. There has never been anything close to a photorealistic game of that type. Its not like the PS3 doesn't get the weekly releases of the common game types, they just get unique gaming experiences too that add needed variety.
