It shows the truth about Capcom, but don't worry, there are another companies that will be supporting the Wii.

If Capcom isn't supporting the Wii, nearly all oy my hopes rest on Sega and Namco.

You have Nintendo still at least.  Noone buys Nintendo consoles for 3rd party games anyway, they haven't been good since the SNES days.  In a way, if you like Nintendo games, thats not completely a bad thing since it gets Nintendo to make more games from more of their franchises then they might otherwise.  Who knows if Smash Bros would have come around if they got a ton of fighters like the PS, who knows if there would be 10 pretty good to good 1st party Wii games if they had tons of great 3rd party stuff coming out.

Better to have a Wii with bad 3rd party support and really good first party support then the opposite.  1st party games you can only get on the Wii while those 3rd party games are notorious nomads this generation especially with EA and Activision buying up every game maker under the sun and making them go multiplat.   Though they won't admit it 360boys would kill for a system like Nintendos where all the good games are 1st party and stay console exclusive instead of migrating to the PC and PS3.

Still though, capcom should know better, I mean they were one of the only ones making quality 3rd party stuff for Nintendo in the GC days with RE4.  They made RE4 look vastly superior to this with inferior to the Wii GC hardware, whats the deal?

The Official Huge Monster Hunter Thread:

The Hunt Begins 4/20/2010 =D

You guys are taking this wrong way, obviously this is Capcom making hte game open to the casual market! I found Dead Rising to be surprisingly hard, but when there are only 10 on screen how can it possibly be hard??

At night, Oh noes! 20 on screen!!! Going to be sooo good.

I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

This space Reserved for the Nuggets of Wisdom dropped by Bladeforce:

"Why post something like this when all it will get is PS3 owners blinded to reality replying? BOTH THE PS3 AND BLUE-RAY WILL NOT LAST 3 YEARS! TECHNOLOGY CHANGED TOO FAST!"

"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"

"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"

A few notes:

1) Why didn't they compare Dead Rising on the X360 to the Wii version, for a more apt comparison? The interactivity of the zombies on DR is better than that of most PS2 games.

2) How is this some sort of apt comparison? Early in Dead Rising (for those that don't know), the same area of the mall has very few zombies to start with. Eventually, more and more zombies come into the mall to where the same area is flooded with zombies...You can't use the "OMG but there are only a few zombies!" argument, because there is no context as to what stage of the game the video of the East side of the mall is at (and that's near where you start, FYI).

It's too early to tell what Capcom will be able to do with Dead Rising:CTYD. However, I will say that the graphics looked pitiful versus the X360 version. But what matters is how fun the game is. DR was brilliant not due to uber graphics, but fun and fresh gameplay. Hopefully CTYD can keep that, and Capcom does a great job.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Who says that demo was showing the max amount of zombies able to be on screen? Has anyone here played Dead Rising? The first day on the Xbox 360 version has just about as few zombies running around as was shown on the Wii in that video.

It could be the most zombies they will have on screen, but is this confirmed? If not, I'd wait until something official comes out.

I've played it, and even in the beginning there are many more zombies in the 360 version.

With that said, I think it's obvious this is merely intended to be a demonstration of the combat/gameplay since after the player traveled a reasonable distance there were no zombies around, while in the 360 version the only place you could truly escape zombies was the bathrooms or on top of somehting.

Capcom knows that a huge part of the reason many people buy/bought Dead Rising was to hack through hordes of zombies, so expect the final build to have significantly more than this video - maybe not as many as the 360, but still a lot.
