Forums - Sony - How do you transport your PS3?

i frequently bring my ps3 and my driving force wheel from my house to my parents coz they have a better tv. i'm using still their original boxes, exactly as how i brought them out initially.

how do you guys transport your ps3 and its peripherals? do you have any sort of bag/box that would be more comfortable for transporting?

(oh and are you even allowed to put this thing on an airplane?)

I wouldn't take it on an airplane..not bacause of packaging, but because of handling..don't think for an instant they take even the slightest care of your stuff. You're better off fed-exing it to yourself wherever you go if you absolutely must take it.

As far as what to take it in, I'd normally just carry the console and put the controllers, wires and games in by old bookbag. If I'm going to stay somewhere for a while, like driving to my friends vacation house, I just pack it in my bag with the rest of my clothes and such. Just make sure it's tightly secured, and I use one with the inside strap, after packing it in, to make sure it won't move. Word of advice if you do this though - make sure you pad underneath it as well.

I'm sure they have actual carrying cases for it though..and while I haven't looked, I'm sure it costs far too much to convince me to do it another way, as I've done it this way many times and never had a problem.

i haven't seen any official carrying bags or cases though. since i take it around a lot, i'd like one that is especially built for carrying it around.

On the rare occasions I take mine somewhere, I wrap the main unit in a thick towel to buffer it from being banged around.  Then I stick it in a large duffel bag with the rest of the stuff.

First I wrap it with that fabric stuff that it was originally wrapped with and then I wrap it up in a towel. Then, I place that in a gym bag with games, wires, and controllers on top.

I recall Circuit City having a carrying bag (maybe even official), but that was when the PS3 first launched since I was last at a Circuit City.

Though would you want to have the Playstation logo on the bag? Perhaps being a little more discreet with a carrying case would be a better idea.

I flew international with mine on a plane.
Man i stressed out! but yeah the "wrap-it-in-a-towel-trick" worked fine for me.
It was in a hard plastic suitcase though, not one of those fabric ones

well i wouldn't want the logo yea.. but still, i'd like a case that is specifically built for the machine and its peripherals, so that its safer for me to carry around in.

Gym Bag......

Don't give me that look! D=

Ok, I'll start using a towel......

4 ≈ One

I use the original packaging and then I found a suitcase-ish thing that fits perfectly around the box so I'm not caring around a big sign that says "this is expensive, steal it from me please"
