PS3 will pass the X360 in total worldwide console install base within 6 months.

I'm still standing by the 360 keeping It's lead till atleast next December, probably not till 2010 that the PS3 has a good chance, and by then the 720 will be announced so MS will "claim" first place in next gen hardware.

I also predict MS will drop their console another $50 by next December *AND* have packs in this December on top of the current price drop to keep them in contention with the PS3. If somehow the Arcade is packed with a wiimote rip off or some game this XMas, I think Sony will have a hard time competing against a $200 HD console, hard drive or not.

Come next XMas if they keep the Arcade around It's hopefully gonna drop to $180, if not $150 aka the sweet spot, so Microsoft will give them a run for their money next holiday season to, and they can afford that considering the profits they make now even with all the RRODs.

I hope with all my heart that the 360 completely destroys the PS3 this holiday so that I can come back and read your apologies for making your predictions while attacking someone on solid numbers. No one knows what the 200 dollar price tag will do, but we do know that the 360 is nearing saturation at it's current price. I think the 80 dollar drop may give it a jab in the arm, but then again it may not. I know that it's going to lure in second console purchases from many people like me who's family has taken over my system. I hope it brings in some Wii owners who want to move up to the HD system and perhaps it can pull in a bunch of PS2 owners. There are so many different factors, but one thing that doesn't matter... your faith... in a piece of hardware... it's pretty sad... brand loyalty is sad... the only thing that should matter to you as a gamer is the games... you go where the games you love go and if you're a big Halo fan that mean the 360 and if you can't wait for Killzone 2 then the PS3 is your system, but don't talk about Sony or Microsoft like those names matter, because that makes you a poser who says he's a gamer, but will only every really support one console. That's my rant... I suppose I shouldn't have gone off like that for my first post haha very sorry
