Wow was that an awesome game. The controls took a while to get used to, but once you did it was very rewarding. There was just so much there, but I agree saving the tribals was a hassle. It isn't that I had a problem with it, but I wish I had known that you had to from the beginning rather than being told near the end that I had to in order to reach the end of the game. I mean, had I known, I would have simply collected them all the first time through the level rather than having to backtrack even more.

I don't know why you guys want a remake. Who in their right mind would ask for a remake instead of a sequel? Ya, I want to play the same game with better graphics instead of a brand new one...come on now.

I remember seeing the lighting effects and thinking, "it couldn't possibly be any better than this."

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Perhaps I am in the minority. I was less then thrilled with the title in fact I was downright disappointed. I played the title for eight hours, and then tossed it aside. I have not touched the game since, and have no strong desire to do so ever again.

My vague recollections were of long periods of endless cavernous spaces. With poor controls and moments of supreme frustration. I could see potential in the title, but like many Rare games of that time frame it felt like a bridge too far. I felt the same way about Donkey Kong 64, Diddy Kong Racing, and even Banjo Tooie. The last one I managed to muscle through though I most certainly was not having fun near the end, and I just plain got sick of Diddy Kong Racing, and Donkey Kong basically required a manual and a journal to play.

This, a lot of potential, but just an avegare game :(

The potential lay within the concept, but as with the other titles I mentioned Rare had a problem in over burdening the player with far too many objectives. There is a fine line between having fun and doing a chore. When you cross that line a fun idea becomes a tedious one. I really felt if Rare had streamlined the game more the core game could have been quite addictive. For me however it just came off as frustrating.

To me it was a thoroughly forgettable game, but it was a concept that was always appealing to me. I always wanted a game like Mega Man set in a 3D world. This just did not succeed in delivering that to me. Rare should revisit the concept, but should follow the KISS philosophy. For those who do not know that is keep it simple stupid. The more you throw on top of a core concept the more likely you are to go wrong, and put someone off. Keep the game manageable for the player.

I did not hate the game, but I sure as hell was not having fun playing the game. Which in the end is all that matters.

Haha, probably only BK scaped from that black-hole, but just by a little...

I LOVE JET FORCE GEMINI.

Ahem. Excuse me while I re-set my volume control...

Hates Nomura.

Now THAT was a great game. Tri-rocket launchers, plasma shotguns, cluster bombs... it was like half the arsenal was made up of weapons of mass destruction, with plenty of opportunities to unleash hell on your unwary enemies (including the tribal hostages, if you were having a bad day!)

Super World Cup Fighter II: Championship 2010 Edition

That game was sooooo good. Memorable characters ( Lupus the tank dog? Hell yeah!), awesome graphics, great weapons, bug (or tribal) splatter, and one very hard endboss fight. Plus disco ending! If rare remakes this, i will buy a xbox360.

One of my favourite games ever. Everything was so amazing. Visuals far, far above anything the PSOne could do, the worlds were son vibrant and alive. The gameplay was fun and addictive. Sometimes it felt a bit like StarFox 64 on foot.

I loved the game until the "First Ending" ... After that, playing though every level again (some several times) to collect absolutely everything was unnecessary grinding which hurt the game.
