360 is in charge of the PS3, which has been copying them.  However, Wii is the main guy in charge, regardless of what the consensus of gamers is.

The 360 is not copying the PS3.  I'm pretty sure that it's the other way around.  Microsoft is trying to wrestle Sony's part of the market away from them by trying to do things similar.

Sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of the two years it took sony to implement a clone of XBL for the PS3.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

I think if you are talking about AAA gamer's games there is only a choice between 360 and PS3.

If you are talking about pick up and play games you have a choice between Wii and 360 with Live Arcade games.

As for sales... The Wii has the highest install base so it should sell more, but that doesn't necessarily talk about the ongoing activity of gamers in the install base. For that you have to look at the attach rate. Hence the discussion starts, because 360 has higher attach rate.

The only thing that is certain this generation is that Wii is selling and will continue to sell more hardware for the forseeable future. It is yet to be determined where each console will be by the end of the generation. This Christmas will probably determine the 2nd / 3rd place. Next Christmas will probably determine 1st / 2nd place.

Go tell your coworker that TRUE gamers don't buy imitators like the ps360 but instead use a computer. They also buy a wii because you can't get wii controls on a PC and wii games are drastically different as well.

Go tell yourself in the mirror that TRUE gamers by what ever platform is getting the most games that they want, has the features that they want, and don't care about what others think about the games that they like.

Sounds like you guys think that MS are the ones that created online console gaming.... Didn't the DreamCast have it first???

As far as I see it MS is losing ground and are in second place mainly because of a year head start. As far as I see it MS has brought nothing new to the CONSOLE video gaming....

Am more than confident that next year same time as now, the 360's weekly sales will be lower than what we've been seeing this year, and the ps3's will be the same as now or marginably higher. While Nintendo continues to dominate.

If any platform is "leading" this Gen... it's the Nintendo DS...

And the GameCube had an even higher attach rate at the end of its life, with reports varying from approximately 10:1 to somewhere north of it.  Did the GameCube kick the PS2 and XBox's asses in terms of ongoing activity?
