And for what it's worth, Gamestop is no longer as representative of the gamer community as it used to be, so while your co-worker's anecdotal data might support his thesis, it's about the only peice of evidence that does.

Considering that the 360 has been consistently outsold all year by Wii, PS3, DS, PSP and has even had trouble staying above the PS2, I have to say that your co-worker is an idiot.

It may not be in charge, But its certainly got a much stronger foothold now than what it had during the origional xbox days, And sonys marketshare now compared to the "Glory days" of the ps1 and ps2 are hardly impressive are they........

The 360 is not copying the PS3.  I'm pretty sure that it's the other way around.  Microsoft is trying to wrestle Sony's part of the market away from them by trying to do things similar.

Depends on whether you are reffering to Software sales or Hardware sales. XBOX360 has been struggling lately in HW sales. We will see what the price drop does. However in SW sales they really are doing amazing. Way more million sellers and a higher percentage compared to user base. I can't wait till SUNDAY. /cry I want my 360!
