Forums - Gaming - XBOX 360 in charge of this generation?

360 is in charge of the PS3, which has been copying them.  However, Wii is the main guy in charge, regardless of what the consensus of gamers is.

How can the 360 be in charge is every other console (handheld included) is outselling it?

HOW?

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

Best games, worst sales.

I don't get it. For Microsoft though, its doing amazing. If it was Sony, it would probably be close to the Wii right now.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Go tell your coworker that TRUE gamers don't buy imitators like the ps360 but instead use a computer. They also buy a wii because you can't get wii controls on a PC and wii games are drastically different as well.

always back on topic, can't agree that the xbox is in charge this generation? maybe your friends needs to give you much more insight on why he thinks that...

The 360 is leading ...but no one is following.

its HD ps360 vs SD wii/ps2

touchscreen vs powerful hardware

Depends on how you look at it, internationally the Wii is clobbering everyone however in the US its current lead isn't all that large. Combine this with a larger core gamer following for the 360 and in his limited scope of reality which encompasses little more than a cubicle and his parents basement he is quite correct.

its not the 360. one reason- the 360 may be really powerful in the US, but thats it. the Wii is powerful everywhere.

[span style="background-color: #000001"]And for what it's worth, Gamestop is no longer as representative of the gamer community as it used to be, so while your co-worker's anecdotal data might support his thesis, it's about the only peice of evidence that does.[/span]
