Torillian, tell me more about Persona 3?

The only thing I have against it is that, it's kind of an unknown. Reviews didn't really tell me enough. I'd love to learn more. If I were to narrow my list down to 3 right this instant, Persona would be right in there actually.

Edit: and Torillian, i see you have Folklore in your collection too. Tell me more about that too?

Assassins Creed. Its decent enough...

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

Folklore is a pretty good but unfortunately short RPG that's got a great atmosphere and a cool murder mystery type story, but the gameplay can get quite repetitive

Persona 3 is a fantastic JRPG that's only fault is you can't control your party members so sometimes they'll be dumb. Persona 3 puts together a social dating sim type game that are popular in Japan and a JRPG. You'll go to school by day and kill demons by night. The story is engaging, with a great sense of time for a video game. If you want more I'll have to think some more....Blade and I are playing Civ rev so I apologise for the brevity.

edit: I would give Folklore perhaps a B, and Persona 3 a definite A (least I think that's how the overalls would work out)

...

Civilization Revolution is great. It's not an RTS. It's turn-based, and you can play online. It pumps you up for Civ 2 or 4.

I recommend MineSweeper. It's fast, it's fun, it's intuitive, and it's free. The world records are insane.

@Rubang: I suck at minesweeper... I can't even beat Advanced. I'm like 0 for 15. >.

Have you played Quest for the Crown yet?

Do you like SRPG at all?

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

I played Suikoden III and I liked the srpg portions of that, but I know that is not close to standard srpgs.

I tried out FFTA, didn't like it. I've seen my friend play Disgaea, he loved it, didn't do much for me.

I dont think I've played enough to make an opinion on them yet. I guess you can say I'd only play that one earth shattering-ly amazing srpg to introduce me properly to the genre, then I'll make up my mind on it from there.

Final Fantasy Tactics is alright, although it does not give me enough options to keep me busy for a prolonged period of time. Did you watch your friend play Disgaea or did you play it yourself? SRPG seems to be love it or hate it I guess.

Persona 3 is a good grab, specially Persona 3: FES for just $30, it is easily over 100 hours long.

Plenty of PS2 JRPG to dip into. Shadow Hearts and Dark Cloud 2 are good games if you have not played them already.

Hmm... Would you mind telling me more about Dark Cloud 2? I played the first one, but it just got too repetitive for me.
