Most of their stables don't even talk I mean it would be creepy for Mario but Link and Samus should really be deep characters after all they've been through. Its a bit disarming going on a 20 hour adventure with a mute farmboy who constantly takes orders. I mean why would Zelda go for hime. Their relaitonship should evolve as well.

Well, it's a new Link in almost every game, and he has a fair bit of development in most of them.

I personally don't like voice acting in most games because it (dramatically) reduces the ammount of content in the game ... At the same time, I think that by having a protagonist in the game who has no motivations of their own and doesn't talk is a benefit when done well because the game and story provides motivations for you to do something.

Link is basically a little bitch who does whatever he is told then magically get the girl. Link from Windwaker had the most charisma of any of them but come on i expect more from other game character so why not Nintendo's

mayb, but a talking link would cause outrage. starfox has potential tho

Link has to grow up one day. He has to hit puberty. He has to shave for the first time, go to his school disco, make love to a beautiful woman on the beach....or in his world, on that grassy bit around Lake Hylia

 I like Link but come on he should be badass and confident. I dont want an edgy smoker link just one who responds to situations with more than a shocked look.
