Yes 360 also has untapped horse power. But the only Engine that really showcases its power is Unreal engine, Im not saying others cant showcase it but i would like to see other engines showcase it. Ps3 on the other hand, Metal Gear solid 4, Uncharted, Tekken 6, GT5 as well as many others showcase PS3s horse power

The PS3 graphics are no better than the 360, of MS launches a new console and WII does Sony has no choice but to offer one or die. Even the PS2 is finally on its last throughs. The PS3 is no PS2

I am not misinformed I have a 360 and my best firend has a PS3. Name one Mutiplat game that looks better on the PS3? And if you do then I can name one on the 360. Again GOW2 won for bestr graphics at E3 an MS game. Its a draw no matter what you try and say

Not saying it won't happen, but everyone was saying wait until this year, wait until E3, wait until etc, and it still hasn't happened. 

Starting to sound as bad as the PS3 domination people, but at least they finally stopped.

I haven't seen that being done to the "wait for $199-$299" comments.

If you want an example look at the DS. Many people thought the PSP would prove to be huge competition, shovelware for its first year and the only hyped game was Castlevania. After the 2nd year started it got better and now look where it is.

Yeah, but two years in (Early 07) PSP was all but abandoned.

Two years into this lifecycle, PS3 and 360 have life left in them, and Wii is outselling the systems, but no the same margin that the DS was outselling the PSP.

And there's also a gaggle of different reason why this will be much different that the DS and PSP, like pricing (PSP was 2x the cost of the DS, whilst 360 is priced comprably to the Wii, and PS3 isn't 2x the Wii), also games are making tons of money and sales on the PS360, while PSP proved it couldn't sell software, etc. etc.

Because the PS3 will be unecessary? Devs only put games on the PS2 after the systems were launched because they didn't want to put much effort in Wii games and the PS2 has a large userbase alreayd (larger than what the PS3's will ever be). Yet now devs are making Wii exclusive games and forgetting about the PS2, save for a few companies (like Atlus). We won't see any major Wii 2/PS3 multiplat games. At the very most we'll see some lower profile or the typical shovelware on both...but that's it.

somehow i doubt that, ifthe ps3 veriosn of the games are selling better then the Wii 2 they will keep doing it again and again and being as you say graphics aint a big thing, which i think it a lot of meh, then the Wii 2 is not going to be really powerfull over the ps3 so why not make multiplats and by then maybe sony will have a motion controller aswell.

No, PSP isn't 2x the price of the DS... Anymore.

But when it mattered (the early years) PSP was priced a hell of a lot more than the DS. First 250, then 200, and finally 170 last year. But are you telling me having the price tag double that of it's competitor, even for a little bit (six or so months) didn't hurt the console?

And again, let's be honest, the PSP doesn't have much life left in it. It's inability to move software aside from some spectacular feats of awesomeness (Phantasy Star, Monster Hunter Freedom, God of War, and Crisis Core) isn't making things any better.

And the Wii being "easier to make money on" isn't a reason for Third-party support, but a reason for slipshod re-makes, ports, and mini-games

But let's not get into that argument, right?


The fact of the matter is that third-party games on the Wii may or may not come, but to be absolutely sure that they will come with the history it's had for two years, is hard to believe.

The unreal engine is made by Epic and its used in both 360 and PS3 games.  There are games on the 360 that dont use that engine

 

 



PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Just because Sony WANT to doesn't mean they will. Every console manufacturer wants to be in first. Every game developer wants their games to sell well. Does that mean it will happen? No. And Sony isn't exactly doing anything much to help the PS3's life span very much.

Because firmware updates will bring FF XIV, MGS5, Ninja Gaiden 3, and GTA V...exclusively for PS3 ;P
Not that...The point is that firmware updates will keep the system up to date.

yes im aware of that, but do those other engines showcase 360s power, IMO from what ive seen PS3 is far more dynamic with regards to engines, but like i said this is from what ive seen so far.
