The purpose of recipies is to speed up random battles. It really helps when grinding if you cook after each battle and get your TP/HP back up, so you don't have to go refresh yourself in town. It basically speeds up grinding.

Except that with Raine, that doesn't matter.  You're at full HP all the time anyway.

good thread idea

Wow. B+ from 1up. Way to go. I have to wait until Wednesday b/c they are shipping tomorrow. I did get the strategy guide today, though.  Maybe Edge and Eurogamer will be nice and give it 7/10.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

...and just to be clear, I believe Eurogamer, and Edge magazine will both consign to giving Disgaea 3 and Tales of Vesperia 6/10s.

They gave MGS4 8/10s....6/10 is what you should expect.

Eurogamer and Edge base their scores on innovation, right?

Yeah! That's why Halo 1, 2, and 3 all got 10s!

It seems Namco is just taking the Symphonia formula and just improving upon with each main release.

(Symphonia -> Abyss -> Vesperia as far as gameplay, etc.)

Its 82% on Metacritic, its probably going to stay about that level because the niche review sites do not have the same weighting on Metacritic as IGN for example.

Tease.

What do you mean but the same weighting

Scores from big review sites such as IGN/Eurogamer/Gamespot have more "say" as far as how high or low the metacritic average is.

Tease.

Okay... I need to buy this, this week-end! O_O

Edge online gave Halo 3 their "most innovative" game award over Portal. I talked about that earlier in the post, and provided a link. Believe it or not, they believe it's true, and thus, Halo 3's scores actually prove the point that Edge and Eurogamer do attempt to base their reviews off what they percieve as "innovation."

This, assuming Edge online is related to Edge magazine.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
