I just bought age of Mythology.

I cant make it work with Vista

Hm, works for me.  Things were a bit buggy at first, due to my outdated nVidia drivers.

Have you downloaded any new drivers recently?

My only current issue is that I can't join at least half of all custom matches online.

I have an ATI card, doesn't it automatically download drivers?

My PC won't even detect the disk in the drive.  I know its not a drive problem because other games and Cd/DVDs work.

Suggestions?

A vampire nation. Kick...ass

That would be rather rump-booting actually.

First, I don't think Age II can be topped, but if they make it, it should NOT go past the Imperial Age, AoEIII was bad because of the timeline it dealt with, AgeIV should cover either the first's or the second's, or even a combination of both timelines, but not go past it.
Second, they should totally forget what they did in AgeIII, review the mechanics of AgeII and see how can they improve them, but not complicate the game needlessly. The card bonuses, the evolving homebase should not come back. Really, the best way they can make a great AgeIV is to make a perfected AgeII

^How was AoE III bad besides the Indian vs Hessian thing and the other story lines?

Something about the gameplay, I'm not sure what it was, but it just didn't draw me in like AoEII and AoM.

The card system also made it hard to keep up with online, imo.  It wasn't as easy to just jump in play.  You had to keep a good grasp on your current deck instead of just remembering the basic gameplay mechanics.

I agree 100%

I don't know exactly what was wrong with III, but it just felt wrong, I felt like the game wasn't as addictive as the second, like it had lost the magic it had

This. I loved AoE II, filled up my harddrive with all sorts of saves on campaigns, random matches, and maps that I made. The game took up so much of my time. AoE III, well, I expected it to be much more like AoE II and AoM. I rarely play it, and really would love to see them bring it back to how they had it in these two games.
