question: After I played the singleplayer and I am done with it, can I return to "my world" and do some sidequests with my character or get some money? Or is the game just finished after beating it? I hope you understand what I am asking for.

Yes, you can continue playing in the same world once you are done with the main quest.  At least you could in the first one.  I am assuming they would not change that aspect of it.  Most open world games let you continue where you left off.

Come on.  He has been FAR more reserved this time around in what he says.  Furthermore, 90% of his claims have been verified hands-on by the gaming press.

This could actually be massively good!

Now speaking seriously, the game looks to be better than the first (which was good but not great), so I'll give it a try when the PC version comes out if the reviews are strong enough.

The problem with the first is that, while it offered a lot of choices, the main quest was too uninteresting to keep you hooked. I hope thism one improves that
