What, are u saying that LBP will not appeal to as many as MGS4 or GTA4?

 I'm saying exactly that. First of all GTA IV is multiplat so don't even dream the sales of that game, unless you want a nightmare before morning. I highly doubt that it will outsell MGS4.

LBP will be a huge Ps3 hardware seller. LBP will sell life time sales of over 4 million games.
LBP looks like a very original IP with the level creation which will result in endless possibilities. Potential game developers could be found through this game.

LBP is the exact opposite of what MGS4 is. People said MGS4 wouldn't sell because it's hardcore, it has lots of cutscenes, and it's a niche genre. I disagree with 2 out of 3 of those and absolutely love the cutscenes, but those were the reasons given.

LBP is casual, has no cutscenes, allows hardcore users to play whatever kind of level they want, has graphics that seem to appeal to everyone, a completely new youtube-like level distribution for consoles, and the push from Sony at every turn, from ads (also featuring MGS4 and GT5 if you want to compare the company it's keeping) to E3 press conference to getting their developers to contribue to the game. The greatest appeal is that LBP can be whatever people want it to be.

New features keep being announced, as you can see by this thread that indicates that syncing voice to character lip movements is implemented. That's really cool and just shows all the nice touches that are being put into this game.

I understand there will always be people that dislike something, whatever it is, but it's just hard for me to believe that most people won't be excited by this game.

Edit:  Also, I don't think anyone is predicting that LBP will outsell one of the highest selling franchises ever, but it does benefit PS3-specific sales in comparison to GTA IV that LBP isn't multiplatform.  For PS3, the sales could be close, who knows.  But that doesn't even matter right now.  I just want to play the game.

GTA4 multiplaform sales probably no way, but GTA4 PS3 sales are very do-able.

Sorry mate, but you fail here, LBP appeals to a much broader demographic then MGS4 and GTA4. Kids, ladies, men, u name it, LBP will be liked by many. On the other hand, most women couldn't touch GTA4 and MGS4 is for hardcoe gamers only.

I'm not bashing the attributes. First of all i am confused about the game....seriously. I know this games demo will be at Gamestop on the first day for sure. Second of all we will just have to see about the sales. If Sony wants a big deal out of this game, they should make the game an attachment to the new PS3 instead of Uncharted (Stupid Sony). I know that Uncharted was said to be a great game, but LBP needs some practical love right now instead of risky love.

@S.T.A.G.E

This thread was created about how good the game is "NOT" how much it will sell. Go play with you VGC $ if sales are your thing. It is plainly obvious u do not have a PS3... too bad for u then eh!

I agree that bundling Uncharted is a little late, but perhaps it'll coincide with the announcement of Uncharted 2. They like to bundle games that are getting sequels.

I don't think LBP will need to be bundled, but we shall see, as you say =)

 Um....you fail. Nintendo has already gathered the majority of casual female gamers to the Wii and DS. Now on Nintendo its almost a 50 % 50 % percentile of males and females of all ages. LBP will gather a much smaller group of those people if you're even expecting it at all.

Who ever said that SONY wasn't bundling LBP?

Eh, what else is there to talk about?  The game has lip syncing to voice chat!  That's pretty awesome.
