Wii-7.75 million (too much stockpiling going on)
PS3-4 million (doing way better than last year)
360- 3.25m (Sales will be relatively "stagnant" from last year.

Wii ultimately passes PS3 + 360 by substantial margin.

Wii= 6.5m

360= 4.5m

The PS3 isn't going to beat the 360 and the Wii. That's just stupid. The system sells out on the off season, think about what happens come Christmas. It will look more like Wii>PS3+360.

In which case all three of your numbers are WAY too high.

In the last 9 weeks (start of November to end of December) of the year I forsee this:

Wii - 9 million

PS3 - 5 million

360 - 4.5 million

Xbox had this last year
VGChartz Hardware data for the period 18th Aug 2007 to 29th Dec 2007:

PS3 had this
VGChartz Hardware data for the period 18th Aug 2007 to 29th Dec 2007:

Console PS3
Total 4,551,316

Considering that PS3 barely had any AAA titles and the pricecut wasnt until October. Now, it has a new sku, many titles out now and many more coming this fall and PS3 is doubling what it did last year, I would give it about 7 million more

360 had Halo 3, Bioshock, and Mass effect released in that time frame. Video game sells are up, so I would give it another 5.5 million

lets see for almost every week for some time now the Wii has outsold the 360+PS3. I see no reason for this to change.


Down to the numbers, here are my predictions for the last 9 weeks of the year.
- Wii ---- 10.250.000
- 360 ---- 4.000.000
- PS3 ---- 5.250.000

But those are just ballparks depending on how much supply the Wii has, and how much the PS3 can drum up popularity and how much the supposed 360 price cut effects things.



Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.
