Wow, I have never even played some of these games, though i have just about most of them. The Sims chars shouldn't be icons imo nor any of the guys from SHMUPGurus and Lolcislaw.

Two of the most obvious Maxis-made characters in the best selling PC game series of all time? Why not? They're probably way more well known then most of the people here.

I like everyone showing Lord British. UO ftw.
What about Uther from WC3 or Illidan.

I knew my personal PC game icon (and best anti-hero ever) Guybrush Threepwood would already have been mentioned when I enter this thread and I knew it would be either shio, dawve24 or gurok.

So I only have to add that a more suitable picture of Guybrush is in my sig (3rd sprite for those who are not familiar with Monkey Island).

Glad to see Sam & Max, Roger W., Gabriel K., Larry L. and Lord B. already mentioned as well. This thread warms my heart.

For a moment I thought I throw in Indiana Jones, but he already was an icon before ”Fate of Atlantis” and one legendary PC game alone doesn´t qualify him to be called a PC game icon.
