Not a fan of the demo - I wish the ps3 had sixaxis support for the force. Using a button doesn't feel very force like to me :P

i completely disagree, the character models were incredibly detailed,as well as the facial details.the environment was somewhat bland, but i think that just that level.its no MGS4.but its holds its own.
@Damstr8
Just tried the demo again and will give you the point on some of the character models. The enviroments are very bland. Also the AI is pretty bad. It is possible to stand close to troopers with there back to you while another much further away shoots at you between them. You can also if you look see stormtroopers carrying out the same action no matter what is happening around them. Some run to a point kneel and start firing then run back to there original point, run back again kneel and start firing.
I ain't disliking this game for no reason. I was looking forward to it, but now it must be a rental instead of a day 1 purchase. If it improves from what the demo shows I would still buy.
It was pretty fun, though the controls weren't very good. The guy ran too fast and moving him around was pretty imprecise. The camera sucked too.
Your force powers were really fun, though. In the area with the tie fighters, I would lift of crates and make them hover where the tie fighters would fly, causing them to crash.
I also enjoyed getting behind a big clump of boxes, and using my charged force blast to send the whole stack at a group of enemies.
Likes:
Combos and special abilities.
Using the force with the left and right stick took a little getting used to, but I liked it.
The ability to use objects as shields
Dislikes:
Can't run while blocking
Can't control defelections
Sequence Kills
It was pretty fun. I liked destroying things and being able to throw almost anything. The graphics and animations were pretty good too. The camera wasn't an issue for me. If you can get past Too Human's camera issues, any game with camera control on the right stick is good.
I don't know why they didn't use SixAxis for force telekinesis. Seems like it would have been a no-brainer rather than occupy two analog sticks to steer and throw an object. One less control scheme to program is the only legit reason. Easier to make the controls the same as the 360 version.
I'm beginning to think that so many people have railed against SixAxis motion controls that it's become the least used feature available to the PS3.
The demo was not exactly what I'd call a soft seller. It did a fair job as a tutorial for the abilities the player has, but the rather short run through (literally 6 minutes if you're not playing around with force powers) didn't demonstrate much more than rather uninspired level design.
I have to wait for the reviews before I make a decision on this since I don't want to be stuck with yet another Star Wars game that I never finish once the license novelty wears off.
Force powers were fun. Force telekinesis with sticks is kind of clumsy. Lightsabers are way too underpowered. I guess they didn't want the game to become like Dynasty Warriors. Not too fond of the jump and levitate in the air as you swing combos. Combo system itself seems fairly flexible and provides benefits enough to merit exploring. Targeting system and object clashes seemed inaccurate.
At this point, I'd have to say that the previously untold story of Vader's apprentice is the main reason to play through this. Whether that's enough really depends entirely upon how much you like the Star Wars universe.
Im not a fan either. Beyond the physics which were impressive its much worse then the jedi knight games imo. The controls weren't as smooth as they could have been either. And the sequence kills for bosses sucks.
I was debating on whether to buy or rent and after playing the demo I think I'll just gamefly it. No mp of any type doesn't really help its case.
camera was horrible.

tested. they are the worst. its not very precise, at least you don't have to waggle for everything. ps3 was OKAY, but mainly because the engines are nice |
This would have been the 3rd time I would have had to brutally flame you for lying and flaming non-Sony consoles, just because they weren't made by Sony. Luckily I didn't have to. Please, sir, stick to topics that are celebrating Sony, and avoid topics about exclusives of other consoles, or even multiplats. That or change your posting style, because I'm afraid your 4th misstatement might get me banned after what could only be considered an...epic post.
As for me, I must admit, I've lost interest in the game. Hopefully reviews prove me wrong. :D
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
