It's a good game, even if you haven't played any R&C games previously. Definitely one of the nicer additions to the PSN, and it would be very nice if more of the bigger developers would follow suit with episodic content in between major releases.

I never picked up Tools of Destruction (demo was good; have to eventually add it to the collection) and never played any R&C games on the PS2, but I found myself really enjoying this segue episode which ties the events of Tools with the next R&C game due Fall 2009. Two year break between games is fairly long, so this fills in the gap nicely.

Seems to be about 3-4 hrs. depending on how much exploring you do. So very reasonably priced for a full production value chapter (like Half Life 2 episodes) at $15.

Most of the platforming is fairly straight forward. Combat was a bit mixed. I think if you're already very familiar with the R&C game engine, you'd probably fly right though it a lot faster.

Good quality content either way.

Just beat it.

Excellent stuff. Really raises the bar for what download titles in this price range are capable of.

Will try hard mode next time.

Yes I bought it, yes its amazing, yes buy it, and I havent beaten it only played for half an hour

is it more platformery or actiony/shootingy then Tools Of Destruction?

Yes, they focus a lot more on platforming. Probablly half of it is.

I really liked using the light things that kept the things away.... and is the guy a previous bad guy in a ratchet game(You know which one im talking about)? The only games I played is F:ToD

its awsome
if u have been a fan that has kept up with the series then the end will be a gift
i was pretty happy with the end and cant wait till next fall

I love the PSWII60

Got it. Very good. Short, but then you're getting a top of the line platform/shooter in terms of engine/polish for a budget price.

Nice idea and I think they priced it very well for what it is. Fun to play and some nice additions around using your wrench more.

As for title... I think I saw an image of a large, bikini clad behind with R&C peeking out (one over each cheek) which I thought summed it up nicely...

I'll be interested to see how it sells, etc. as this was clearly a bit of an experiment to see how the market reacts.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Just finished Q4B on normal difficulty.

I must say the game was quite fun -- it sucks you in and then it just... just ends. I ended taking around 3 hrs 30 mins - 4 hrs to beat the game.

Anyway the game is good but it lacks a few things.

1) No Arena or other mini-games to waste time.
2) No Skill Points (or Trophies. )
3) No Challenge mode (would of worked great if they made the game REALLY hard - but let weapons max out at level XV)
4) The ending mentions "Fall 2009".... which should be Autumn 2009, or rather Spring 2009 since Autumn 2009 is March - June for us Aussies... (yeah i know its nitpicking)

The story elements really work well and its clear that Insomniac sees the Ratchet Future series as one long storyline -- unlike with the PS2 games where they were all disconnected story wise (or so i have heard)

Just got done! The graphics are great, the gameplay has moved towards alot of platforming (you'll miss jumps all the time and die), and its a moderate legnth depending on what difficulty your playing on (you can play for 6 hours on hard). I'd say do it!

Console Agnostic since 2001.

I've played just over one hour so far, and the game is great, but their seems to be some graphical issues, and some stutter when you move the camera around fast when looking at large areas, which was never in ToD. I guess the compression of the data is to blame for this, i guess a Blu-ray release WW would of been best.

It's a 2.3GB download so it takes a while. According to IGN it's about 2-3 hours of gameplay with some backtracking. "Crymetyme" you should really pick up Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction on the PS3 once it hits greatest hits to get a true R&C experience with tons of cool weapons/gadgets, arena battles and all. I heard the weapon selection is limited in Quest 4 Booty, but it continues the story of TOD so I can't miss it!! Another sequel is coming in 2009. I hope that one will be a full retail game instead of a short episode like this... still I can't wait to play this game later today.

i do have tools of destruction. got it on October 23.
