Forums - Nintendo - wii- fall 08

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Nintendo is relying on their big titles from early in 2008 for the holiday season and leaving room for third parties to flourish. Usually we count on Nintendo games to spearhead the Wii library, so this holiday season doesn't look nearly as strong as the previous one. But I think that the third party support has been upped and it shows a bright future for the Wii.

And I don't think enough of you are giving attention to James Bond: Quantum of Solace. Even if it ends up as an average game, the film will be so amazing that I won't be able to help myself enjoying the game. Plus, NHL 2K9 is coming out later in the year (not that I'm interested) and it should be fun with the Wii controls.

Tomb Raider Underworld should be fun on the Wii, and Skate It should be simple yet enjoyable. And don't forget about Animal Crossing. I think I'll be spending a lot of money this holiday season, and I won't regret it.

I'm looking forward to:

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 - Aug 26 • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Sep 16 • de Blob - Sep 22 • SimCity Creator - Sep 22 • Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels - Q4 08 • Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World - Q4 08

Yeah, I just copy and pasted my sig. It's probably about time I updated it though.

By the way, your link is not working. There is an extra ")" at the end.

There's a lot for the Wii in the next few months.
I personally can't wait to get my hands on Samba de Amigo, Wario Land, Mushroom Men. Those are pretty sure must-buys.
There are also a few that I want a little more information about before I decide including Little King's Story, Dokapon Kingdom, Animal Crossing, but they look promising.

I agree with this.

After quickly scanning that list from IGN, there are quite a few other games that interest me.  Basically though, I'm looking for good games.  I generally wait for reviews to come in before I buy a game nowadays.

I've also got a bit of a backup in the games that I want to buy, so those will be on the list as well.

I'll post the ones I'm excited about right after I eat.

I agree. Nintendo knows that their big games will sell whenever they decide to release them, so why not put them out after the holiday season to help drive hardware sales year round? Why stoke demand in the holidays when you know you're going to have a hard time keeping up with it?

I'm pumped for Sam & Max, de Blob, and Deadly Creatures.
