So IGN posted screens for the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed.  You may find IGNs new screens right here.  I am posting 2 screens for easy comparison below next to the bet screens.

Participants: RubangB, superchunk, fazz, and RolStoppable vs. naznatips.

Conditions: I say that when IGN puts up screens of the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed, they will be graphically worse than these two screens (resolution excluded). The 4 mentioned above oppose my assertion, and say they will match or exceed these. Twesterm will act as judge.

Prizes: If I lose I pay out one Virtual Console or WiiWare game of winner's choice (1000 points or less) to each of the 4 participants above. If I win I recieve one Virtual Console or WiiWare game of my choice (1000 points or less) from each of the 4 participants above.

You may either wait for the honorable twesterm to hop in and pass judgement, or you may go ahead and concede and exchange Wii codes now.  My Wii code is 8857-6462-5890-0518.  I am already registered with fazz and RolStoppable so all I need are codes from Mr. RubangB and Superchunk.

Looks the same, just one is in HD(higher resolution) and one is in SD.. like comparing a DVD with a blu-ray.

I have to say that jaggies aside, the game is gorgeous!

And yay! There's some lighting now!

Actually all I have to do is change the region on my Wii to his region.  I've won bets on VGC before with people from other countries hehe.

Looks close enough to me to give Rol & co. the win but I'm not the judge here.

Irregardless, the game is looking good.

Edit: I misread the initial IP and originally gave Naz the nod - I think the Wii screens look just as good as the originally posted HD ones (except for resolution natch)

I thought that only worked within regions, so like Canada to US, or UK to Germany, but not US to Germany.

Sonic looks the same in both, but the textures in the HD version looks better. There are also Jaggies in the Wii version, buts that is a resolution difference. Also some of the Wii pics have circle shadows while others have real time ones so I don't know which should count. They do look more similar than different imo. So I guess we will wait for Twesterm to post his judgement if he hasn't already by the time I'm done with this post. i wonder who will win.

edit: Oh and there is a noticable polygon count difference. Especially in the trees. So yeah I think Naz won as well. Though they should have bet that the Wii version would look similar and not the same.
