I'd probably have to say either Gears of War. I'd attribute that to the fact that 360 was released a year earlier though. I think that there will be new PS3 and Wii franchise's that will give it a run for its money...Possibly LBP or Zombie Killing Girls in Bikini's or whatever that games called.

Well since were talking about NEW FRANCHISE this generation. I think WiiSports.

As for new IP, I want LBP to take it. Though WEWY would also make my day.

I don't have a PS3. I'm a Wii Fan. I want LBP. I don't have justification to spend that amount of money.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Theres quite a few choices here such as:

- Gears of War as you mentioned

- Resistance: Fall of Man good shooter

- Uncharted cool new adventure game

- Bioshock is cool

- Rock Band good new music game

- Mass Effect isn't the best but its good

The wii really doesn't have much since all it does is release new games in old franchises such as Smash Bros. and Super Mario Galaxy. Mario Kart Wii, etc.
