The fact that it's such a big, virtually flat area which takes ages to move through, with no real interaction with enemies or objects suggests that the area is actually meant for vehicles, and they will likely dominate the entire game, thus making me even more turned off to it.

And your telling me you missed the obvious plentiful platforming sections scaling the walls that were far to small for vehicles. And the big green pipe tower that looked fun to work your way up with. I certainly saw plenty of old Banjo platform level designs in there. And flat? did you watch it.

Show me them in action and then we can talk. The fact that they showed flatness instead of those sections cause me great concern. And yes, it was flat. Did you watch it? Lots of vast flatness where it's pretty obvious you're most likely meant to use vehicles to move.

I thought the same thing. I felt like a lifeless world. It didn't seem to have a "theme". Also, what's up with telekinesis. That's certainly wasn't what we used to do in Banjo-Kazooie. And you can't even ride Kazooie do go faster? Banjo looks ugly.

But its definately the best looking platformer to date.

*cough*

Judging from videos so far, the old Banjo games look far more appealing to me than this one. It looks like he's walking slower than usual in this clip and the bigger areas to walk make this seem worse. The older games look far more action packed to me.

For me the real fun aspect about the old Banjo games were Kazooie's special abilities. I have seen nothing of this sort for this game so far. It actually looks quite boring to me, that's sad as I expected much more from Rare. Kameo was my favorite 360 game and I liked that Rare game a lot.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

PS3 vs 360 sales

Wow, never thought a video could turn me off like this, I agree with all that is said by majin and godot. still will be picking the game up though, really hope for more plat forming.

I don't know they both look very good, Banjo might win this one on environments, because you have to admit the vastness was very impressive in the clip shown above ( very few jaggies) still I wouldn't bet on either one.

looks very good, although i have to say the gameplayer was unaturally walking about a lot.

it looked like a scene where you collect the parts for making a vehicle

Uncharted isn't a platormer!

Anyway, it looks good enough for me and certainly will be more interesting than Ratchet.

@4lc0h0l: I agree
