Well I am disappointed in Square Enix and Sony for letting it become multiplatform, but my main concern is that the loss of XIII as an exclusive wil cause less jRPGs to come to the PS3, and I want them to come to the PS3 to make sure it does well. I know it does not really make much sense for me to think like this as I have an Xbox, so I would be getting the jRPGs anyway, but I do prefer my PS3

My other concern was that it would cause an inferior PS3 version, which it fortunately wont

However, my main problem is that it delays the game coming to English speaking territories (from where I can import!)

i don't know how can we believe that because the developers said so,

i don't believe them

They are going to finish the PS3 version before they start working on the Xbox one

doesnt matter, the game will be designed for multiplatform and wont be optimzed for either of the consoles.

It's great that more people will have a chance of playing such a big title, everyone is a winner, but some Sony fans cannot accept the fact that Playstation is no longer the King.

As long as it doesnt delay the ps3 version release I dont care. Ps3 fanboys care because the ps3 is irrelevant now................more than it was before. That and because the sony viral marketing firm will fire them

I'm against... Sony needs to beat the 360 this gen, and losing its exclusivity in Japan will hinder that.

not agains't it, but since the are going to delay english version til 360 (even it just like 3 months its a huge wait for someone who waited since announcement).
my take, learn japanese.

Can someone tell me where this is coming from? From what I've read, they aren't delaying anything, but they're developing the 360 version at the same time as the translation for the PS3-version is going on, which only means that that's the reason the 360 version won't be released in Japan. Why does everyone say it's going to be delayed because of it?

it will be hold for english speaking countries.

tranlastion first to the ps3, then porting it to xbox360.

so we will have to wait 3-6 months that 360 is ported so both are released.

my take would be learn japanese and get it before it released in japan first on the ps3.

It's my understanding that the game is being developed on the PC then ported to PS3 and 360. Being on the 360 shouldn't delay it for the PS3 whatsoever.

I love both the game and my console (ps3) but we all know that exclusives sell systems. I'll still play the game no doubt so I don't care about that but it's multiplat announcement gimps the momentum of my preferred console...there you have it, uncut/uncensored!

In that case, all games are developed on PC...

Everyone has a preferred console. I'm against the game going multiplat because it hurts my console of choice that I want to do well. As a gamer, you're right it doesn't matter in the least. But as a fan of the PS3, I'd like to see it do as well as possible, so I would prefer the game have remained exclusive.

I kinda though that was obvious. Are you telling me that if something happened that hurt the chances of your favorite console doing well that you would be unmoved?

...

I honestly don't care, nor am I really surprised, that Final Fantasy XIII is going multi-platform. I can see why PS3 owners would be pissed though, as their machine has the lowest number of exclusives--and as we all know, exclusives make the console.
