Since the most time you will be spending on it will be on the games, go for the 360.

Honestly there aren't any reasons why you should pick the PS3, unless you don't like the 360 games, in which case you wouldn't ask us anyway.

If it wasn't clear already: go for the 360, it has a much better games library and is cheaper.

I had a busted 60 gig, the power switch busted + something else and it would not come on. I was out of service by 10 months, had no receipt and they still fixed it for free within 7 days!

The 360 only has more games now... why... because it came out 2 years earlier!

The PS3 has shit loads more games comming. So, if u want more games now, get a 360. BUT, if u want more games from now, get a PS3.

Also, there is no fucking way that the the 360 will have more Jrpgs come 2 years! SONY is a Japanese company, tools!

The 3 BIGGEST Jrpgs are comming to the PS3 anyway and 2 of them are PS3 exclusives; FF13, FF13 verses and White Knight Chronicals. I can't wait for the TGS so the PS3 can announce more Jrpg's to shut the fucking Xbox fanboys up!

My advise to you is to decide between the exclusive games and their online fun factor, and whether Blu-Ray is really that important to you.

In this day and age of eBay and used sales, to me its weird to look at a console as an 'investment for the future'. The more important thing is which one will you get the most quality gaming that suits your taste as of right now (and maybe half a year into the future) and whether it fits your price range.

As I am a 360 only owner, I can say is that the games are amazing and is taking up all of my gaming life at the moment. It will probably do the same if you get it. Since the new games in the next half of the year will be highly online and co-op focused, my gaming time will only increase. I have 20 games that suit my tastes and I want to get till end of 2008 but will have to cut this down alot for time and moneys sake.

I dont have a PS3 so I wont comment much but I will say that they will have a larger focus on online shooters in the near future and I can get more kicks from Gears 2, Halo 3, Left 4 Dead.

The one other factor you want to think about is not just whats coming out but what has come before. You can buy from the old library of 360 cheap, Bioshock rainbow 6, Gears of War, crackdown, cod2 and 3 can all be had very cheap.

It really depends on that type of games you like the play. I enjoy my 360 so thats my vote. You got the best multiplayer in live which is getting major overhaul. You got movie downloads with net flix, and the best games. Good luck you cant go wrong with either
