My advise to you is to decide between the exclusive games and their online fun factor, and whether Blu-Ray is really that important to you.
In this day and age of eBay and used sales, to me its weird to look at a console as an 'investment for the future'. The more important thing is which one will you get the most quality gaming that suits your taste as of right now (and maybe half a year into the future) and whether it fits your price range.
As I am a 360 only owner, I can say is that the games are amazing and is taking up all of my gaming life at the moment. It will probably do the same if you get it. Since the new games in the next half of the year will be highly online and co-op focused, my gaming time will only increase. I have 20 games that suit my tastes and I want to get till end of 2008 but will have to cut this down alot for time and moneys sake.
I dont have a PS3 so I wont comment much but I will say that they will have a larger focus on online shooters in the near future and I can get more kicks from Gears 2, Halo 3, Left 4 Dead.
