He could get a REAL guitar, at least he would benefit somehow.

There is no direct link between being good at Guitar Hero and being a good guitar player. playing the guitar takes years of practice and dedication and you have to have a natural gift/talent for music.

For every 100 000 great guitar players. only one becomes a world famous guitar player in a rock band.

I know there is no link, I play a guitar myself. I suggested he gets a real one so he would benefit somehow from not studying anymore, and wouldn't just be "rockin'" on a plastic guitar... Also, there is no Natural talent, there is only dedication and practice.

Why do you think he no longer studies?  Everything I've seen suggests that he now studies more and it is because he is spending so much time playing Guitar Hero and left government school.  Are you even paying attention to the story.  As it is, playing Guitar Hero has already helped him.  Playing a real guitar may be a step backwards as he is already good on Guitar Hero.

What a waste of a young life. Years of unemployment, working at Walmart, truck driver or labourer jobs are on the horizon.

Why do you wish him to be a truck driver or unemployed?  Also, how is his life wasted?  The kid is only 16 years old and his studies are improving, so his life is on the up and up.  It's great the he has such a good relationship with his parents, also.

Good to see that his homeschooling has helped, despite the retarded reason for quiting school, it seems.

Ah, the wonders of homeschooling :)

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

This is why America gets a bad rep.

The stupidity of people never ceases to amaze me.

$1000 at 16 seems a lot when you live at home so no rent, no car, no bills and no food to buy, but you wait until he grows up and realises $1000 is nothing and is gone in a couple of weeks.

I don't support Guitar Hero in the least, nor Rockband. Its sad that a bunch of wannabes are being paid for this shit. I leave games like this for dorks and wannabes. I wouldn't shell out money for something like that when I could buy a beautiful real guitar.

Well thank you but this wannabe and dork here is probably better in playing guitar than you will ever be and I still enjoy guitar hero, people who think like you are just as foolish. ASS!!!!
