There is no direct link between being good at Guitar Hero and being a good guitar player. playing the guitar takes years of practice and dedication and you have to have a natural gift/talent for music.

For every 100 000 great guitar players. only one becomes a world famous guitar player in a rock band.

 

I know there is no link, I play a guitar myself. I suggested he gets a real one so he would benefit somehow from not studying anymore, and wouldn't just be "rockin'" on a plastic guitar... Also, there is no Natural talent, there is only dedication and practice.

 

Why do you think he no longer studies?  Everything I've seen suggests that he now studies more and it is because he is spending so much time playing Guitar Hero and left government school.  Are you even paying attention to the story.  As it is, playing Guitar Hero has already helped him.  Playing a real guitar may be a step backwards as he is already good on Guitar Hero.
