This thread is to show how much money each company makes a full year. This can show how much they can spend on their repected gaming departments.

Microsoft = 17.681 Billion (2008)

sony = 3.694 Billion (2008)

nintendo = 2.633634 billion  (2007)

they all made loads of money and looking at Microsoft's profits they can spend all they want. 

That is the total net income that each company makes from all of their products / business ventures.

A more influential figure would be how much net income they make within the video game industry.

That would tell you how much money each company has to spend on video game related things.

if I did that then sony and Microsoft would be in debt and also it doesn't matter if one division is negative as long as the maiden company is profitable because they can share money from other divisions

wow, i am surprised microsoft just doesnt buy out ninty all together or sony for that matter.

microsoft tried to buy nintendo last gen, but Yamauchi former nintendo chairman told them no

that would cause a monopoly and they can because sony and nintendo are publicly traded companies

No the thing this tells me that nintendo with only a gaming division is almost as profitatble as sony's entire company and those figures for nintendo are for last year they may have cut the difference even more by now.

By the end of the generation nintendo may be worth more than sony and maybe even be able to buy a decent percentage of the company or EVEN buy majority share that would shake the very foundations of the gaming and entertainment community.

Whoa... That would have been epic
And industry changing...

This is by yearly profits and not overall, so nintendo still has to catch up to sony yearly then it has to beat them for many years
