Did I inspire the fad?I notice that since my Chuck Norris vs thread the fad has been incresing.

Well that one was the first but I made the fad :P

Because often internet fads spring up. Basically someone makes a thread of a certain style, then someone else while replying to the first thread comes up with an idea for a second thread and decides that it deserves a thread. After there are 2 threads of the same kind on the forums, every douchebag and/or dildo on the internet throws whatever half-assed thread they can think of within the same style.

its getting ridiculous now, there is new Vs thread every 30 minutes, someone please stop this shit

Unlike my agitation towards the "rate" threads I'll let this fad slide. Yeah they are annoying but it kinda remind me of the "gamespy grudge" matches of years ago. These where awesome and a lot better played out then these versus threads. What I can remember for instance:

Samus vs Snake
Groundskeeper Willy (simpsons) versus Max Payne
Dwarfs versus elves
Idiot with bazooka versus retard with detpacks (battlefield inspired)
Tanks versus planes (also battlefield)
Pikachu versus Raiden

Etc. Most of the humor came from two editors discussing it, Fargo and Shaithis. With Fargo usually playing the loveable idiot (openingsentence during planes versus tanks: "I will pick planes, so I can make airplane noises the entire time - VRrrrrrrmmmmmm") and Shaithis the maniacal depressionist.

Perhaps me and a mate should try a discussion like that and post it here for try-outs.
