Not Gray... too obvious.

You want something longer that can shorten into many things, for more mileage, like how Elizabeth can turn into Lisa, Eliza, Beth, Liz, etc. But in your case, something like:

Gray V. Robinson. You can call him Gray, Gravy, or Mr. Robinson. Feel free to pick a different last name.

I know from experience that naming pets after presidents makes them act more presidential and awesome. I once had a guinea pig and named him Abraham Lincoln (we saved him right around Lincoln's birthday), and we could call him Abe for short, and say "That'll do guinea pig, that'll do."

Exactly how I usually name my cats. My cat Butters (because he's a whiney fuck) is properly named James Monroe; next is Binky (the clown) that has the christian name of Grover Cleveland. Then there's my little black cat who I call Tiny Cat but was christened Jefferson Davis.

Or perhaps you could just move away from the color theme and name him George in honor of the late Mr. Carlin.

That's a nice idea.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

He looks like a Dayrl to me... but that name isn't any fun.

You don't like any of my suggestions Frank? I poured my heart and soul into those :(

How about Sir Meowington? Or Helen Keller? American Idol?

Pepperoni, Sarsparilla, Pumpernickel, Jalepino, Pastrami.
All good names for a cat.

Those are more like names for a hamster.

Sir Meowington... hrm. That does have a nice ring to it. That got me thinking of naming him Charlemagne after my great-(x65)-grandfather.
