i have a feeling it would be a clearance sale.

but heck, won't stop me from buying my Arcade version. ;)

199 is my sweet price spot for 360.  Although it's different from people to people.

 

my sweet-spot for Wii is around $179. If Wii goes to that price. I might consider getting one.

I think some of you are a little confused.

The recent price drop to $299 was a fire sale on the 20 GB models. The 60 GB models remained at $349.

The supposed price drop in September will be permanent, taking the 60 GB down to $299. There has been strong evidence to show this will happen around September 7th, and for what it's worth (not much, I know) I've already read a couple of analysis claiming that this will boost the 360 over the PS3 this holiday season. I personally think it will be more like neck and neck depending on what games are releasing that month.

Kind of a dumb price on the elite IMO.  You could buy an arcade & 120gb HD ($149.99 soon) and it would be cheaper than the elite.  Sure it won't be black but I don't really like the black of the elite anyway...

The Elite comes with Hdmi/Component cables and a headset also. AFAIK the headset only comes with the 60gb upgrade pack.

Well, I expect a huge effect because it is NA where the Xbox360 is very strong.

Xbox360 will pass PS3 WW again during september/october but I see the PS3 coming back WW at the end of october.

The only possibility for MS is to shift from hardcore to casual in 2 months to better fight the Wii. Then they may win the whole rest of the year.

I doubt they will succeed.

I think Xbox360 will get at least a 30% increase in sales erring to be pretty conservative.

80k becomes 105k at the very least.
