I think some of you are a little confused.
The recent price drop to $299 was a fire sale on the 20 GB models. The 60 GB models remained at $349.
The supposed price drop in September will be permanent, taking the 60 GB down to $299. There has been strong evidence to show this will happen around September 7th, and for what it's worth (not much, I know) I've already read a couple of analysis claiming that this will boost the 360 over the PS3 this holiday season. I personally think it will be more like neck and neck depending on what games are releasing that month.
